Somewhat amusing because my last ride was a 2011 Evo X.
I was looking at a Wicked White Evo X MR before I bought the 4runner. Super fun car to drive, just didn't have any trunk space lol.

Cripes, just when 1engineer finally stopped nagging me to get a TE, you start. I'm going to wait for the '14 TE TRD/SC in refrigerator white.
Anyone come across a picture of what the 2014 LE or SR5 will look like?? I searched in vain on the Internet and couldn't find one.
There's nothing out there quite yet. Just the prototype, I forget where I read it but they will be releasing those later. I remember reading how "striking" the Limited is gonna be,![]()
I was hoping they would bring back the light blue color from the 2nd gen:

Speaking of 2nd gens, i have lived in my building for almost three years and there are two 2nd gens parked in my garage, both are 2-doors and both are lifted and modded...I have never seen them move in three years. I wonder if they belong to anyone on the T4R forum?
Despite disliking the restyled 2014, I'm glad that didn't discontinue the 4Runner all together. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the FJ Cruiser. The Toyota Fleet website officially confirmed that the FJ Cruiser will be discontinued at the end of the 2014 Model Year.

Really glad I don't love it as much as my current truck.
Guess I can wait until the next upgrade =))
Waiting for more info to be released. Have been heavily considering a 2014 JGC with the new 8 speed trans, but can't get past the reported recurring problems and heavy depreciation.
I sold my 2011 SR5 quickly at a fair price, and the 2 year depreciation was not that bad.
Looking at 2012 Grand Cherokee Overlands it appears to me you could easily have $10K depreciation in 2 years as they come off lease and rental auctions.
The 2012/13 resale has really taken a hit since the introduction of the 2014s with new trans and styling. The 8 speed mpg, plush interior, power rear gate and offroad ability are all plusses though. But reports of blue smoke at start up, difficult starting and other electrical bugs are making my decision to get another T4R easier.
My Wrangler LJ is my primary vehicle now, so I'm not against the brand in general, but looking forward to getting back into another 4Runner.
Interesting. Appears the V6 Pentastar is capable of 20 MPG avg as is the 4Runner, but not a marked real world difference.
