2014 4Runner

It's amazing what a reasonable lift and semi aggressive tires do to that vehicle. I think it would look great with sliders and the silver bumper parts painted black. I am really liking those Trail Edition wheels too.

well I saw my dealers order board and my 1st and 2nd allocation selections are on order.

they want 45,673 MSRP for my first selection (silver), which means they probably will sell it for 42,893 if I figure out the dealer discount they usually put on a new 4runner correctly.

Still comes up with 2013 for me... Maybe it's based on region?

Maybe so. I live in the gulf coast region, so they completely disabled the site for us, but I've been using a Colorado Zip Code to get around it, just so I can build and price. (80001 for those wondering)

Yeah, finally.

Where's the black to break up the sea of silver?

This thing needs some Plasti-Dip!!

Let's see:

A) Limited RWD $44,470 - navigation, fancier radio, sliding deck, XREAS, sunroof, ventilated leather, expensive to replace 20" tires

difference $10,790

B) SR5 RWD $33,680 - cloth seats are cool in summer, Samsung Galaxy Note phone has nice navigation showing route over color aerial photos, no XREAS, less expensive to replace 17" tires, if wanted, sliding deck can be bought as a part

Of course, they can be bought for invoice, not MSRP, but adding sales tax and other fees brings the price back to about MSRP.

Now that white one looks like a Sequoia to me.

Edit; the pics with the vintage 4Runner are very cool, imo.

will spray painting the SR5's front black grille with high-temperature(heat resistant) chrome paint make the SR5 "look better", e.g. less angry-looking ?? anything wrong/disadvantages/ with this plan ??can someone show a photoshopped version ? thanks !!!

Color choice opinions with black XD Addict wheels

I will soon be purchasing a 2014 SR5 for my wife, so no off-roading involved. We absolutely love the look of black 20" XD Addicts such as RiDE's (prior his current build), Orthoboy's, and Kingpin. The only problem is that my first color choice is silver and I have yet to see a silver with black 20" wheels. I think black is the best looking, but difficult to keep clean. Thoughts on color choices between silver, magnetic gray, or black with black XD Addicts, tinted windows, and 4 bilsteins(front at 0.85). Thanks for your input.

I wouldn't spraypaint any part of the car that would require a body shop to return to stock. Painting small trim pieces that are generally cheap to replace and generally don't need paintwork is one thing. Painting the bumper skin is a whole other bad thing... especially since plastidip and vinyl wrapping are not much more expensive and are much more reversible.

I was at my local dealership today and snapped a few pic's of some 14's, the white trail has a package that included black leather seat with red stitching and Navigation.
The front area is huge and to me looks like a rock would easily hit the radiator, but we shall see.
Sorry about the crappy cell phone pictures

I doubt the radiator grille area is appreciably larger than the current model. The upper grille got smaller, and the lower grille got bigger. We just have those stupid "badge wings" on our upper grille that make it look smaller than it is.

The white TE looks awesome. Put the knobby tires from my SR5 on it and take off the running boards, a vinyl wrap job on the fender flares, and I'd be completely happy.
