2014 4Runner

Limited NAV and 120v outlet

Just looked a new 2014 limited and noticed that the NAV screen is smaller 6" rather than 7" on 2011 Limited. Also, they no longer have the 120V outlet in the front, only in the cargo area. The 4-runner limited JBL NAV is the low end of what Toyota offers so so much for luxury in the Limited.

So I was looking at the '14 Limiteds on cars.com to get the best idea of what has hanged visually. It looks like it has the nav unit of the standard one on the '13, the one that looked smaller and had the large buttons and black plastic frame around it. I didn't really like the look of that unit... Also I was curious if they had blind side assist now?

I have the 7" in my Prius. Despite the smaller screen, these new Entune units are better functioning.

Anyone have any idea as to why the Trail has the knob shifter for 4WD but the Trail Premium has the shifter for 4WD. I have the shifter in my 4WD 2011 SR5 and just thought it was a different option. Does it really have any significance? Is the 4WD in the Premium models any different?

NO Blind side assist, I think you still have to do it manually and turn your head..:lookout:

Lol crap I was really hoping not. Jk! I don't care about it but I think it's a cool feature to have. And I really thought they would have added it, I mean the camry has had it for a year.

TE always gets the shifter. SR5 always gets the knob. Premium or base makes no difference in TE shifter. The 4WD is the same between the SR5 and TE.

I thought so too but when you configure the Trail and look at the interior pictures it shows the knob and when you configure the Trail Premium then the interior pics show the shifter. Guess its a mistake but it clearly shows the black w/ red stitching seats...thought it was odd

I'd chalk that up to website error.

I'm not on Facebook but my wife is, and she showed me a picture from Jim Barkley Toyotas FB page where they have now lifted a white 2014 SR5 if you guys want to check it out.

Only the limited has true leather, the others have Softex option...whatever the heck that is...as much as they are charging it better not be faux leather...

I have Softex in my Prius and leather in my 4Runner. The Softex is very supple, especially compared to the leatherette in our MINI. It feels different than the leather in the T4R, but it isn't a bad different.

Did you agree on the $42600 price already?

nope. we haven't even started the banter.

but its just 1k over invoice. so we have to see what the give for trade in. if they give me full trade in then its gonna be a wash.

16.8k is full trade in on the car which is about 1k over what I should get in reality.

but I wont know until December what the numbers are really going to be.

forgot to add, my dealer is a best price dealer. so they wont budge on the price. so I have to make up the difference on the trade in or get some comps.
