2014+ "Mudflap" swap

I am away from my truck right now, so if anyone knows the answer to this it would be appreciated. If anyone else is wondering i should be able to answer this next week for myself.

I have a 2012 SR5 (canadian version). I removed the front "mudflaps" due to tire rubbing on a weird squarish bulge they have. I had planned to either cut them out or heat gun them but haven't yet. I noticed that the 2015's (and presumably 2014's) have a much smoother, cleaner design without the bulge. Does anyone know if they attach the same and would sit flush with the other trim?

Im sure you could just look up the part number to see if they are the same. Your local dealer should have some and you could test fit them.

Amazon and other sites show they are the same part number and fit 2010-2015.

Fyi 2015 mudflaps also gave me some rubbing in my setup.. Zip ties helped!

The Canadian version has the Us Trail rockers and trim right? If so then yes it would fit, slightly different holes. I actually have both as I have the newer front flaps on my truck from swapping rockers and a set of the LE flaps sitting in the garage.
Probably doesn't matter though since someone else said they also rub.

yeah i think so. the reason i asked is i saw a new trail, and the front mudflaps are perfectly flat on the inside, so i can't see how they would still rub

Went out and compared the two I have, the inside where you would have rub is the same, just the part along rocker front molding is different. I've seen pics with a bulge but haven't searched so you should look further, maybe you saw one of the aftermarket?
