2014 T4R SR5 4X4 with 2013 FJ Struts/Springs

Will it work without modification / is it a direct swap?

I have a lead on a set of 2013 FJ OEM Off Road TRD/Bilstien Coilovers & Shocks with springs and wanting to do the swap.

I have read about swaps on earlier T4R's but nothing close to the 2014 5th Gen.
I haven't found the answer yet (still searching on the web) and would like some input from the experts here! It would be greatly appreciated!

I had a 2013 FJ TT and sold it for the 2014 T4R...
So no shock mount hole modifications or lower shock mod on the 2014?


Input is still welcomed if someone has actually done a FJ OEM swap.

Thanks. Everything worked for me without issue. As a matter of fact, I even took my gusseted spindles from the FJ and used them on my 4R

I only changed the coilovers & shocks, not the springs.
The spring rates are fine for the 2014 T4R in my opinion, so I still have the same ride feel as far as that is concerned.

The Tokico shocks were overly harsh that came on it when hitting holes and bumps.
Big difference in the ride from the "Tokico" Shocks to TRS/Bilstiens!
TRD/Bilstiens suck up the bumps and holes alot better than the OEM's.

I would respectfully disagree about the coils but to each their own. I guess they are good for cushy road feel, but I am pretty sure they are the contributing factor to the nosedive on these rigs.

My 2013 FJTT 4X4 With the Offroad suspension had more dive because of the coil rate than does my 2014 4Runner 4X4. Ground clearance is the same as was my FJ also.
The suspension on my 2014 4Runner is definately "not cushy", I don't know about earlier model.
I don't find this truck has much dive at all!

All I can go by is what I feel by owning the two different trucks and checking color codes on the springs, they are definately different.

I have zero experience with the FJ so I couldnt compare the 2... BUT I was thinking about getting one and if it has more nose dive than a 5th gen 4R I will pass

Best to drive one yourself and compare.
Take one for the day and put it thru normal stuff, not just down the street and back.
