I guess I really got in your head with that jack picture. This is like the 3rd time you mentioned it. I was just trying to DIY a Lo-Jack. :thumb:

Below is a picture of the truck with the jack gone. Hope it helps you to know that all is right with the universe again now that the jack has been moved.

Of course I did not agree to have my lights butchered. They specifically stated that they would bake them open. I have seen the oven.

dude, did you now put a freakin' expensive lite bar down there? Are you missing the fact that if you ever go off road this is one of the first areas to take impact?

No, they did not. I wonder if the 14s headlights are sealed like the taillights. As much as I despise the company, they do perform a lot of retrofits. I can't imagine they would create more work for themselves by cutting it open.

I really doubt they aren't put together like 99% of headlights. in the below pic I can see the spots in the lens where the screws connect as well as the channel for adhesive.

Feel free to call them and ask if this is standard procedure. If you press them on it, they will admit that it is procedure at Oracle. I called them yesterday and they freely admitted it.

Well, I'm glad I've read this thread again. That's the exact place that was going to let do my headlights...I had an appt set up last month for them to do the halo's and LED running lights but a family emergency caused me to cancel that appt. When I went out to the shop and spoke to them they told me the work to be done on the H/Ls, of course opening the housing, but damn, they never explained how. I may have to re-think this now, but I will question them on how the procedure is done. Great info Michael, thanks,:high5: and I wish you well in getting your issues resolved with them...:thumb3:

I love the concern everyone has for me and the multiple items that will get crushed if I put them on the front approach. I did that for a picture. It is gone now.

you should say they are lucky that you guys are having a civil discussion and not meeting up in a court room and having a judge descide your fate.

What i would is, go out to the parking lot and check out one of the employees cars and see if thier car has halo's. then see if they installed it the same way. i doubt it.

Surely they didn't CUT them open. The usual way to open headlights is to heat them to the point where the sealant softens, then pry the two halves apart.

Never, ever, heard of cutting lights open. Sure hope you're wrong.

Thanks man! It is nothing special, I just slapped together a site with some pics real quick. I was trying to get some ones attention one last time before my attorney went to the trouble to secure a judgment and ultimately file a lien on the Houston store.

If anything, it was effective. The owner from the corporate office in Louisiana emailed me 37 minutes after the site went live promising to have a resolution tomorrow. As a added bonus, if you look here on their FB page, https://www.facebook.com/oraclehouston?fref=ts

All kidding aside, I mean them no harm or ill will- I just want my money and nothing more. I feel like "The Dude" It is very sad that I had to go to such extremes for them to simply replace my lights and refund my money.

sad thing is if you google search oracle lighting problems, there are a TON of hits, nothing like yours. didnt go thru them enough.
