That's a pretty good incentive, but practically the damage, for them, is already done. As I noted above I was about to bring my 2011 LTD there for work on the headlights and foglights. When I called them after I posted here on 4/23 and asked them the process used to open my headlights (I didn't mention you or this thread at all) I was told a "tech" would call me back and explain it, one week, and one day and no phone call. I think I'll scratch them....but I still haven't found anyone else who are doing such "mods" on headlights in my area.

Still, glad you have found a remedy for your situation...:thumb3:

I think you should wait a couple weeks until you see mine. I found a legit custom lighting shop. I am happy with them so far. I suspect that when you see my new lights, you will see what I mean.

guy has skills! So thats the way its done @ oracle.

I never thought to do it that way. i guess i am old skool. I look at a shop and i judge them by the tools they use. Maybe i am a ***** but you are what you use.
Use Husky and Rigid, you getting cheap work.
Use Snap-On and Matco you getting top quality work.

Example on tool cost:
My wire cutters are spring loaded and cost $73
Most expensive one at Home depot is $20 and sears its $24

Look at the tools on their wall, all cheap stuff LOL

Great, I'll wait to see how yours came out. I haven't really found any other shop.
Is the shop local to you in Houston?

I just read through this entire thread, mainly because I have nothing else to do on this "deployment", and primarily out of curiosity to see the completed job since its been MONTHS since the original post... and all I get is a lens with Unlimited on it!!! Ugh!!!

....eagerly waiting for the completed job. I also envy the amount of money you have to put into your 4Runner.

Its been ALOT of twists and turns to get here, but the Rig is getting dropped of Monday for a 3 day install. So keep safe out there sister and check back this weekend....
 
I vote that the OP, and anyone else, is not allowed to post any further on this thread until it is with pictures of the finished product.
I can't stand seeing it bolded on my list, get all excited, and we are just chatting...

I am not trying to snag your thread, but get the attention and input on everyone drooling and watching your work.

Ok fellas, I am also working on a projector setup, but probably not as sweet as the unlimited. Either way, I need some input for you smarties.

I want to put LEDs in my headlights, these to be more precise:
H11 H8 H9 H16 5K MT-G2 2100LM HEADLIGHT FOG LIGHT DRL | 1 PAIR - H11 H8 H9 - LED - Headlights

I contacted TRS and they said that LEDs don't work well with projectors. Bummah...
But then I read this article:

So, would you all agree, that it looks like LEDs should work with the projector?
I am going to send this to TRS also and see what they say.
