2015-2016 Season Ski/Snowboard Thread!

We got some new snow this weekend, 4-5 inches most places but we found a few shin deep stashes at Mary Jane.

looks like some nice freshies in the those trees. How do you like your new skis?

I went to Larry's Boot Fitting last night. It's like crappy rundown shop in a strip mall with the reputation as being the place to go. Apparently the guy who owns it does boot work for quite a few US ski team people and things of that nature. I just had my appointment there and I was really impressed. At no point did they try to sell me new boots. They spent an hour and half tweaking my boots, they fit snuger over all, my heels are more planted, and I have less pressure points and charged me a total of $30 even. I'm pretty excited to hit the slopes tomorrow

Also new skis are good. I used them for the first time last weekend.

Vail was real nice this weekend. Knee deep trees everywhere, and not enough people in town to track everything out yet :rockon:

And yet here in the east I just cancelled my 1/11 reservation at Okemo. 72 degrees tomorrow. Ridiculous weather for the Northeast. So bummed.

don't give up hope, itll be below freezing every night next week where i live in CT. ive got feb reservations in killington and it damn well better be snowy

After 1/11 my kids go back to college so opportunity lost. I just turned on my central air. 74 outside and must be about the same in CT. Hate this weather. Going to be 50's to 70's over the next several days. Sucks..

Sunday I was up at Copper, nice bluebird day. I got 24,000 feet in before I left at 11:30 to beat the storm.

Been looking at Stowe the last couple of days and it looks like winter has finally arrived up there. It's a great spot and I think I'll be booking some time there the second week in January. Ever been there?

Got some great snow in the Elk Mountains down in southernish CO. Not much of a base but still got some deep turns. Great Christmas present!

Can't say that I have, but it's hugely popular around here even with the likes of Killington, Okemo, and smugglers notch, so it's certainly a good mountain
