Can someone tell me what "alarm" do I have?

personally any car alarm is kinda pointless.

1. most people ignore the alarm outside of your place of residence anyway.
2. many insurance companies rarely give a discount for them.
3. any decent care thief can bypass any oem pretty quick
4. most thief's will just smash and grab
5. they are mostly a convenience item now for the owner

My 2013 and 2015 both came with the standard alarm that you listed above and both worked fine like a standard auto alarm. go outside and test yours, roll the windows down lock the doors with your remote. Reach your hand in and try to open/unlock the door and see what happens. Mine goes crazy !

My alarm definitely goes off in the sketchy neighborhood I live in. Sometimes even when I get close to the rear bumper after I lock it (I assume that activates the alarm?).
