2016 trd pro sw

I also just got a TRD PRO. Ordered in late September and it arrived mid December. Was also told by local dealer, "can't get one"! Went to another who did but confessed they had to push corporate to get it. Yay me! I was given a $1500 discount to boot. Base price was $43k. I paid $ 45k with options. The extra expense is supposedly for the TRD suspension but it does need to be swapped out if your going to load it up with after market goodies. Hey at least you got a shift knob with TRD on it! lol I love mine. I take it off road often and am impressed with it's stock capabilities and terrain controls. The frawl control works great. Used it going up a muddy 50' hill and down a snow and ice covered hill. No slippage! Enjoy.

Well worth it to me. Love my TRD Pro :) You enjoy as well.

Living in Cali - bought my TRD Pro in Oregon

Just got mine (and first 4Runner) from a Salt Lake City dealer and I live in CA (where I couldn't find any). 2 month wait wasn't bad at all. She's a beauty.

Living in California, I did see a handful of TRD Pros for sale but they were all marked up above MSRP. I bought mine in Bend, OR. Got mine in the Super White at MSRP. Darn if it looks just like the "regular" white that is my Highlander. Still, the Super White with the black accents makes it pop. Now I'm futzing around with getting it registered in CA. DMV made me get it smog checked! I was incredulous. "This is a brand new 50 state smog compliant vehicle and you just inspected it. Did you see a big block Chevy sitting in the engine bay?" "Get it smogged," was the only reply. Oregon looks better and better every day.

Does your TRD Pro have the KDSS? What do you think about it?

The TRD Pros do not come with KDSS. For some folks it's a matter of preference. The TRD Pro comes with Bilstien shocks that tend to offer a softer ride for improved articulation over uneven terrain and lighter sway bars that don't disconnect. The KDSS, I believe, has a bit stiffer ride with less sway in the corners but allows for the sway bars to disconnected for better articulation over uneven terrain. I'm new to the 4Runner scene so other folks may chime in to correct me.

It is going to take me quite a while to get such a fine vehicle. But I am a happy camper. I've got a first generation 4runner (1989) and I'm hoping to do some projects with second and third generation 4runners before I look at anything newer. That said, I am always thankful for the folks who are willing and able to buy pricey new vehicles because someone has to do it to make this whole system work :usa2:

Let it slide, let it slide.... Happy 2017 to all.
