I have remote start on my 2019 Pro. Went with the 12 Volt Solutions system with the smart phone app. Pricey st $600 but LOVE IT!

How did it work, thinking about one for my 16 Limited.

I have it on a 2014..... we live in the northeast and when we are in the city I do not have a garage, street parking or the alley behind my building is the mode we are in.
Very happy with the OEM remote capability. The range is outrageous. From my 3rd floor window I can start it on the street or in the alley - up to 3/4 of a city block away.....anyplace / any range you can get the 4runner to flash when you hit the lock button is in range!
I have seen complaints that you can't fire it up from your wifi device / phone, but my understanding is that you can on the car play enabled models with push button start (read 21's limited and Pro)..... there have been some good reviews on this site on the after mkt ones too.

Totally worth it, the truck already takes a few mins to fully warm up so why not start it before you leave somewhere.
