20x9 Wheels

okay, I found some BR Tanays that are 20x10 -12. What do you think about running these with 285/50/20 in Nitto tera grapplers g2?

Those will stick out exactly 1" out of the fender. It will rub the front fender liner as well as the body mount.

Might want to keep in mind that you will already exceed the stock wheel and tire weight significantly with the cast 20x9" 275/55/20 tire combo. You will add additional weight with the 20x10" setup described... One of the primary reasons I went the custom forged all titanium hardware route was to save some weight knowing I would be running a taller and wider tire. Not cheap. But not surprisingly my MPG, acceleration and braking remain unchanged.

i am so indecisive on this. I am also considering just doing 17" wheels/tires so to save a little money and put towards suspension.

-12 offset, 275/55R20 tires, no rubbing.

20x9 with negative 12 offset will put the wheel right at the fender. It will rub with 275/55/20 tires but can be managed with proper alignment and by massaging or cutting the fender liner. It sounds as though you want the wheels to stick out of the fender, which is exactly what I wanted. I went with a fully custom forged setup with a one off design. My wheels are 20x9 with negative 25 offset. They stick out approx 1/2 inch. Initially rubbed body mount, which resolved with alignment. It rubbed the front fender liner which a dremmel fixed. Very happy overall but an expensive route.

do you have a side photo of your great 4runner? i like the aggressiveness look!

Just got a call from discount tire and my wheels and tires came in. I originally ordered Cooper H/T Plus but called and changed to Cooper Zeon LTZ. Gonna be putting them on this friday. I'm really anxious to see how much rubbing I am going to have, especially with the Zeons being more aggressive treads. I hope that the heat gun fix on the fender line will be enough.

If you still have the stock wheels and want to sell them, I am interested in buying them

any one have a pic from the front or back to see the offset of the wheel is it flush with the body please cost -12 or 0 offset

20x9, +10 offset on 275/55/20 GY adventure all terrains. I had to do the inner liner fender mod on both sides and had to remove those tiny front mud flaps that guard the auto stepbars. No rubbing once those were done.
