Would a 255/85 fit with a stock front bumper? I'm at about 3.25" of lift in the front

From what I've been able to gather, you should be good with that much lift. Minor trimming possible. Might want someone that's actually done it to chime in though.

I have been very happy with the Bighorn's offroad prowess. I've had them in mud, deep snow, mean (sharp) rocks, dry loose soil and they have performed very well. They do well air downed.

I chose them for; price, weight (low for size compared to others), this is not my daily driver, so it's sees more dirt than pavement.

My only complaints; they are really loud on the highway, suck on ice and packed snow, and wear quickly.

I would agree with all this . And yes, the bighorns are loud but not as bad as the IROK ND's I used to run . I even bought my bighorns at the same place about 2 years ago .

It probably depends on stiff your front suspension is . I have the same coils as you but on the Tundra 5100's and never disconnect the sway bars and the front does not flex enough to rub . I thought everything was good until late one nite coming over Medano pass , I was too lazy to air down and hit a rock hard and the front rubbed a little , first and only time but if it was a little more flexible it would rub more .

Im a bit surprised with how popular the 255/85s are on Tacomas, especially in the overland/expedition world, that we don't see a lot more on 4runners.

I ran 255 KM2s on my 95.5 Taco with an OME lift and they were awesome!

Before I sold my Taco to a buddy last year, I tested these w/stock wheels on my wife's 2000 Sports Edition with no lift and tried maxing out the suspension. They rubbed very little at max stuff.

This 3rd gen was recently totaled on the interstate, but when I get a replacement, I want to run these with no lift, just trimming.

I have the same wheels sitting around and don't have any fender flares. Currently have 16x8 aftermarket wheels with 265/75r16s. I bashed in the pinch welds to get them not to rub. Have 5100s with ome 881s, set to first notch. Wondering if these would run about even with edge of fenders, without spacers and not rub.. I know it's a little different for everyone, just want to know your situation.

I have 255/85 Coopers ST MAXX on factory five-star 16" rims. I locked out my bottom lower control arm cams (neutral) and my SPC uppers to factory (D) setting.

I only get minimal rub at full lock off the rear of the tire on the frame rail, no pinch weld interference.

I'm also lifted 3 in in the front, FWIW

255/85 Geolanders. No front lift and OME890s in the back with LC shocks. My rear lift has definitely sagged a bit so new springs will be a bit higher

No, but it is a popular mud/commercial tire size. You won't find highway radials in 255/85 R16 or 255/80 R17 - both 33s

Between Toyo, Cooper and Yokohama we have good choices for off road 33s
