This all sounds awesome! I also have a 92' and have been doing a bit of work on it. Nothing fun, just stuff to keep it running. Keep us posted on your progress!

Yep, your non-stock roof rack piece up front.
I already had money invested in Yakima stuff before getting my 4runner with factory roof rack, so I put on a set of Yakima towers in the back that hook into the factory rails. That makes it easy to put Yakima bike trays on top, and now ski racks.
But I have a few other pieces around. I'll have to check to see if Yakima has a clip number for putting a set of towers up front like yours [MENTION=62092]Jayzero911[/MENTION]. I have some spare Q towers, clips, and bars around. If I have something that could work, or work without too much modifications, I wouldn't mind having a front bar for strapping down that long ladder or a Kayak or something.

UPDATE: Yesterday I woke up to a couple inches of snowfall and that really motivated me to get out in the garage and fix this beast! (I exploded the front diff a couple weeks ago on a hill climb) I got my new front diff in the mail last week and finally got it installed yesterday! She's back on the road and running great!

That's awesome! Congrats! We have had a suck winter out here. I wish I could find the motivation to finish the rear lift on my rig... and paint my wheels... and paint my grille... and weld my bumper together...

UPDATE: On my drive home two weeks ago, the cooling fan pulley bracket let go and my cooling fan and all of my belts went flying off! Had it towed home and tore into it... was planning on just replacing the cooling fan pulley bracket, but found that my timing belt was TOAST, so I decided to take care of that while I was in there too... I got it completely torn apart with the exception of the crank pulley bolt... It was STUCK. Couldn't get it out with a 4ft breaker bar or a nice impact... so I loaded it up and hauled it to my father-in-laws shop and told his mechanics to take care of it for me... (I normally do all of my own work no matter what, but just don't have the time right now having a 3 month old and a 2 year old...) They ended up replacing the cooling fan pulley bracket, timing belt, all of the bearings and rollers associated with the timing belt, thermostat, all of the seals that were accessible, all three belts, and probably more that I'm forgetting... Needless to say, she should be good and reliable from here on out. I'm glad I caught the timing belt when I did, because it was BAD...

Now that she's running good again, I had to take her out and stretch her legs a bit!

how does the 3.0 do pushing around the 33's? I'd like to put some on mine but I also have to drive 1300 miles with it twice a year so I'm a little hesitant on how it will do on the highway.

It's not terrible, but it's not great. I drive 60 miles a day on them and average about 14mpg. Struggles a little to get up to speed, but maintains speed well! I have 4.88s, btw...

Took a detour on the way home yesterday and tried out a local trail I hadn't hit before! It was easy, but fun! Never even had to put it in 4wd and it never once rubbed even flexed out as far as it was! (I know it's not much flex, but not too bad for a stock vehicle with tires! lol)

Well, I ordered a Cobra 19DXIV, 4' Firestik, door jamb antenna mount with spring, and a Pyle PA speaker yesterday! Not a huge update, but will be a nice move up from the cheap handheld CB I bought, used on the K-Trail, then returned because it sucked... Planning on doing the ashtray install for the unit and will post pics when it's installed!

Please post the door jamb antenna mount after you have it all installed. Also - where did you buy it from.
I'd be curious to see how it comes out, and what your thoughts are on the location.
Right now - I have mine mounted to the top of my roof rack. I think it works great up there for transmitting and receiving, but it does to catch branches - not good.
