3" lift and new 285/75/16 tires

Hey all just got the new tires put on last night. Overall its got a Toytec 3" lift and 285/75/16 tires on stock rims with no rubbing (so far) Here's a few pic's with my son next to it so you can see the growth

It's not bad, but I am use to a truck ride also. The real test comes this morning when the wife takes it across town to work, Thats when I will get the pass or fail notice. LOL but I did make her drive it for a couple of weeks after the lift, before tires and alinement so it should get a passing grade :lmao: Btw she hated for those two weeks she was ready to sell

Great job on the truck! I really like the color too! That's a really nice LIMITED!! I've got the same lift, on my 4Runner. I didn't get any rubbing either, until I went OFF Road with it. I had to trim the lower plastic bumber valance, in order to get my turning radius, and remove the front mud guard. Now I'm still getting some rubbing on the back fender wells, when I'm really articulating the truck. I'm probably going to do a 1" body lift in the spring, in order to hopefully solve this problem.

BTW, how much room do you have between the inner tire wall and upper A arms? Oh and you mind saying how much those tires set you back?

Wow! That truck is absolutely perfect!! I use to have a neighbor with a 2002 sunfire red pearl 4WD Sport like yours. Always loved it. Your new lift and tires couldn't be better. I would love to see more pics. from the back.

Room wise about one finger so 1/2" and as far as price my brother in-law is the general manager at a tire dealer so I got a good price :yesyes:

Fire hydrant?? Yes LOL picked it up from the water dept for $2 bucks It does not have water to it though

I would say no more mods are needed. Call it a day. The truck looks perfect as is. All a 4Runner really needs is a small lift and larger tires on the stock rims.
