3" lift and new 285/75/16 tires

Truck looks great, great color. Looks like you went with sonoran steel? I just did my 1.2 and I'm very happy with it.

I would def lose the running boards. How easily did that 285 fit in the spare location?

Great looking truck! Love the color, and the lift and tires are really well done.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the "wife" in the second to last pic! I seeeeee yooooou! :-)
 
Any updates?

Any updates on rubbing/issues with this setup. I am ready to buy tires, and I have the same machine, same wheels, and same lift... Just curious if there are any additional thoughts before I pop a grand on tires...
 
Tire rub question

I've done a lot of digging on his question and my situation always has one-offs from the answers I've found. So I'm posting my specifics -

Set up - 2002 4Runner Sport model with the bulbous plastic wheel well covers. 3" spacer lift (Revtek). 16 " ProComp wheels with 4 inch backspacing.

Question - will 285/75R16 (looking at Goodyear Duratracs) rub WHILE OFFROADING? I've seen enough discussions to know they shouldn't for on street driving. (I'm looking to upsize from my 275/70R16 BFG ATs.)

The one-offs in my scenario are the aftermarket rims as well as the off-road driving. If I'm doing some serious wheeling and have the steering wheel cranked, am I going to rub the wheel well or will hammering and trimming be required?

I'm hoping to avoid a body lift but looking for anyone who may know the definitive answer in this scenario! Appreciate the help!

I have a question that relates to this topic. I have a 98 Sr5 that i just did a 3'' Suspension lift and a 2'' toytec body lift. I not be doing any heavy trails mostly beach offroad and some moderate dirt offroad no rock crawling.. So im wondering if i could fit 305 70 16s without any issues? or should i go with the 285?

I don't pay attention and I have a legitimate question, I just saw the 1st thread that was similar to what im doing and jumped in instead of starting a new thread..

Sooo help a brother out? lol whats a good tire size for 3" suspension 2" body with no extreme flexing mostly road,dirt beach riding.

285s no problem at all with just normal driving, most will rub the uca when wheeling. 305s might rub the uca as well as the frame at full lock without spacers.
