Seems like that would be relatively parallax free, no?For anything with fairly difficult curves, I typically start by scanning the object itself (in this case, the fog light assem.) on a standard office scanner. For any curves that can't be accurately scanned directly (too big of an object, uneven surfaces, etc.), I'll cut identical curves out of card-stock using the object as a 'stencil' and scan those in. Once I have all the scans I need, I just import them into Solidworks, scale/locate them based on the alignment/nominal measurements of the physical object, and trace the curves in. From there, surfaces and extrudes can be created and manipulated as needed.
