3G Stereo Harness Plug Pin Assignments?

:cheers:To install a new JVC HU in my 00' limited i have to splice a JVC harness to the toyota harness to complete the install. If it isnt too difficult i was thinking building a single harness instead of having to splice two ends together would be a much better/durable solution. I have the wiring/splicing diagram but to see if i can do this i need the pin assignments for the two plugs which make up the toyota harness.

Has anyone done this..successfully? Thanks in advance.

Check out something like this... Metra Part # 70-1761 | Toyota wire harness | Metra Online

Solder this to your JVC harness then plug right into the Toyota harness. That way you don't have to cut your factory Toyota harness.

Never cut the factory harness, the adapter harness is like $10.

No, that's the easiest way to do it, you can soldier the JVC harness to the radio install harness together on the workbench or where ever, then it's just plug & play from there.

Probably better. You won't be working in tight conditions, with minimum wire length, poor lighting, and trying to hold 4 things with two hands while soldering. (Wire A, Wire B, the Solder, and the iron) You're not going to get a good consistent solder bridge in those conditions, meaning you'll have cold joints, which means that while driving they'll be more likely to break. The advantage of the wiring harness is flexibility. Both figuratively and literally.

Also, another point to consider: If you have an electrical fire and the insurance company during their investigation sees a frankensteined wire harness, they could deny your insurance claim.
