How much is your registration/renewal fee's in your state??

I know from state to state renewal fee's vary exponentially- year, make, model, engine type, & value etc. will determine what fee you will be charged.

-In California renewal fee's are ridiculous :doh: I've have never paid less than $100, and I've owned some beaters... the most i've paid is $290 for my 02 Lincoln LS & $225 for my Integra(s). My Dad's 2000 F350 was $390 last year.

Anyway I just renewed mine this month and it was $120 :tsk: and on top of that I have to get it smogged every 2 years which is BS, in my area that could range from $39-$60 bucks! :faint:

I'm sure guys with 96 models are paying less than people with 02's right?

The only we pay in IL is to renew our license plates yearly. Mine are $99 since they're specialty plates.

Tax, safety inspection, and emissions test are required every year on my '97, in Utah. Which for the County it's registered in, amounted to about $130.00.

That was with a $15.00 off coupon, for the combined inspection and emissions test.

I think mine in NC were $99 with specialty plates, emissions, etc.

If I had mine registered in DC, close to 4x as much easily.

A few months ago my '99 4Runner, SR5, 4wd, Highlander was $109 to DMV. I also had my $50-$60 SMOG.

Ever bought a new vehicle or a one year old model? I've paid as much as $400. My sister closer to $600.

I wanna say my girlfriends 97 was about $100 for 2 years. Mine was $130 for my 05 for 2 years, and we both have specialty plates which are an extra $20 per registration period. This is in VA.

When I lived in CA for 2 years, my Chevy pickup was about $350 a year. **** CA! :gun4:

My fullsized truck had a weight fee tacked on, it was $80 six years ago.

$80 plus the registration, SMOG, etc. were up there for a '92.

Last year I had to smog which is always a nail biter, sooo about 50 bucks for smog and another 130ish to the great state of California. Wish I could leave CA but the wife is having none of that lulz.

$112 for this year.. but no need for smog... with smog, tack on another $44 dollars.. almost $160 for an 15 years old car..

my neighbors ram 2500 was like $500 something.. is ridiculous.

$105 for my 2000 4Runner SR5 4WD, paid in March of 2013 in California.

Fees must have gone up between when I paid in March and when you paid a few months ago, since mine is one year newer and costs less.

4Runner is considered a passenger vehicle and thus has no weight fees. My Xtra Cab pickup, by nature of being a truck is considered commercial (or something like that) and thus it cost more to register.

A passenger vehicle such as a 4Runner, in California, can be identified by a license plate with a number, then three letters, then three numbers. Ie. 5ABC123. A pickup truck/commercial vehicle in CA will have a number, a letter, then five letters, i.e. 5A12345.

Ya you guys with emissions regs get screwed, we only have emissions in north west Indiana, no where else. Our state it depends on the age of the vehicle. My wife pays $56 for her 98 for the regular plate, I pay $95 with a specialty plate for my 98. Plus, the plate I get is for the college I went to, so it counts as my yearly donation to them! And its tax deductible...but only for like $4...

In Indiana, this year I paid $86.35, which includes $15.00 Military special plate fee...for a 2002 Sport Edition. This is about the same as I paid last year too. In Indiana, taxes can be different for each county, which can account for some differences across the state.

Ya I've never figured out our damn state. Its different every year...and my 01 DOdge Ram was cheaper than my 98 4Runner...AND WE STILL CAN'T BUY BEER ON SUNDAY!

It's 75 for 2years here in central Oregon. For my girlfriends 97 sr5 No smog or any of that crap. Yet.
