Thanks...and yes, it was from a 1st gen. A guy 5 minutes down the road had it on CL, snagged it for $20.

It came in handy last night too. Had a couple magnetic camping lights that stuck right to it, so I didn't have to keep the dome lights on.

Lift

Check out the new lift! Actually I'm kidding! Just getting my tires rotated.. Sure does make me any to get it lifted. I'm running 265/75/16 currently and this height makes the tires look small.

Ran into a hitch in the processes...while trying to bash out the old upper ball joint, I bent the spindle.

Now I have to wait on a used spindle...still hunting the internet for a decent priced used one as my first buy didn't work out at all.

Still hunting a decent press to press in the light racing insert. None of the ones I rented so far fit.

I did get the uca's, lbj's and otre's all on, just hand tight until the spindles are both ready to torque it all down.

Passenger side done! Advance Auto Parts had a nice press that worked. The torque it took to press in...look at the cheater bars i ended up using!

frustrated not to complete my other project, I sidetracked my brain with a good start to the satoshi mod I've been wanting

Got the grill insert cut out and sanded smooth, and cut my steel mesh to fit. Good enough for one day.

Love the look of the 5VZ over the plastic V6's in the newer 4runners and Tacomas.

No wonder they put an engine cover on the new ones; what a mess under there!

That's not fair... the top picture is a 3.4L with a SUpercharger! The 4.0L has a sweet looking Supercharger too!

That being said.... us dudes with the 4.0L can just paint our plastic engine covers....



OR... someone can just get a SuperCharged 4.0L!

I've been thinking about future mods and was wondering if anyone is running lc80 or lx450 wheels with wheel spacers (specifically 1.25") or has any pictures of said setup.

Im worried that they will stick out too far, seeing as I don't have limited or sport flares.
