That is flat black primer. I did everything myself. Only cost about $500 after everything. I figure its a murder to run into the ground so why not have fun.

needless to say it was classified totaled, but I decided otherwise.

Wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of the Lexus emblems, but I dig the flat black. Plus you brought it back from the grave. You get 100 points for that alone! Nice work.

That being said.....the Lexus badges don't look too bad to me....I'd just plasti-dip them, this way they were body color???? Just a suggestion.......Again...great work on the 4Runner revival! :guitar2:

You can't paint your truck matte black! That's what I'm going to do! It was my super secret mod for next year. Well I guess it's not so super secret anymore. Probably because I decided not to do it. lol

great looking rig. I'm just amazed how well a stock 3rd gen 4runner really looks even after all these years. I wish they still looked the same.

After looking up lots and lots of pictures, I think the only way I would do it is if I did a vinyl wrap (so I could undo it without paying for another paint job). Which I still may do.

I just realized that my truck will never have quite enough "pizzaz" to pull it off. Like nothing extra on the truck to make it look like it's still a nice truck. When you paint a vehicle like a 4Runner flat....and then still have stock bumpers, steel wheels, little lift, etc, it just looks like you forgot to finish painting it. But, your rig would probably look great in matte...because it's got plenty of other visual cues letting you know that the matte paint is intentional.

Quicksilvr your truck looks great as is, maybe some more lift? I wouldn't mess with the paint ijm highlanders are probably my favorite runners! If your really wanting black we can trade!
