paiting the tan part green

and maybe someone can tell me what kind of lift it is when we go to the meet, i bought it like this, lol. its suspension lift...thats all i know

Can't tell what lift it is without closer pictures but you most definitely have wheel spacers.

Instead of solid green havr you thought about maybe a dark grey or charcoal? That combo looks great on the early model 3rd gens IMHO.

Rig looks great btw!

To each their own, I've thought about doing the charcoal on mine if I ever repaint but I'd probably end up with just solid black again!

Are you painting the whole truck? It might be real hard to match the new green to the existing green, and end up looking funny. If/when I ever end up repainting the silver parts on mine, it will be done in box liner or similar product.

No just the tan, the green is actually in really good condition, I bought it off an old man who was the original owne and took good care of it. A friend of mine works at a body shop and is excellent at matching paint. I've seen a lot of his work and have no doubt he can do a great job. Its just a matter of him hurrying the hell up with all his projects to make room for my truck! Lol

I went for a run this past weekend. "Freeze" (a active member on several other offroad forums) created the video and sid he wouldn't mind if I "whore'd" it out for him. Plus, there are plenty of third gens in the vid. Enjoy!! Keep an eye open for my T4R!! hahah

My 4Runner is badged Hilux SW4 here in Brazil. I am looking into re-badging it to 4Runner, but looking at Ebay I could not find that one that goes on the top part of the licence plate outer frame (mine is a 1997). I only seem to find the one that goes directly on the tailgate. Could you point me to a site where to find the correct ones for my year model?

you have to buy the "License Plate Garnish" with that emblem on it.

check out this site. Search the part number 76801-35260. There's even a little diagram that shows you all the badges and options. Hope this helps!

Edit: I lied. Looks like you can just buy the name plate for 40 bucks. My bad.
