when i took it to be painted, they had flat black which is like a chalkboard, and then satin, and semi gloss. satin and semi gloss looked pretty similar but semi gloss was a little more glossy than satin. the guy also said its the easiest of the three to take care of. with any of them you cant wax them and if you get a scratch or something, it cant be buffed out. also like any black car, its a ***** to keep clean, but this more so, it shows water spots really easily, but im happy with it.

I appreciate the response. It makes sense now. I want to paint my wheels too o.d. green. I'll look in the wheel painting section for that.

idk if you are trying to do something inexpensive or not but i recommend powder coating them, i paid 65 for each wheel.

That's an idea, but I'll read up on it [powder coating] first. I was thinking going a cheap route: self-etching primer and then some coats of o.d. green paint rattle can

yeah its fairly simple. i wasnt quite sure if i would blow something when i did it but ive been running it for like 6 months and havent had any problems. what specifically are you looking for? the footwell lighting, all the dome lights coming on, or all of it? ill try to see if i can get something done this week/weekend.

I posted here about how I picked up a brand new set of Procomp Rockcrawlers off this girl in NJ, well I finally got them put on today. I'm still deciding if I want to pick up some wheel caps or not, but I did order some black gorilla lugs to match (Thanks to BFAD's build thread). Not the best pictures, but I was so pleased at how they turned out that I had to post some pics. They bring the edge of the tire just outside of the fender flare which is exactly where I wanted it. Now I know why so many people go with the black rims, it makes it look like a completely different truck.
