Nice job on the wiring. Looks like things are coming along.

I've had a Blue Seafuse block for quit some time, just haven't installed it. I've been debating if I want to mount it inside the truck of not. I'm wanting to keep all the wires as hidden as possible. Just don't know where I would put it.

Thanks dude, I'm really happy with how everything came out.

I was also thinking about putting it inside the cab, but it just seemed like it would be much more of a hassle to run all the wires through the firewall and find a good mounting location that has enough room on all sides to connect the wires.

I took a page out of 4-Ripcord's build thread ([MENTION=57546]4-Ripcord[/MENTION]) and painted my winch fairlead with Duplicolor Metalcast. I went with red to keep with the white, black, and red scheme I have going.

I also painted the rings around the Hella's to match the fairlead. Since the rings weren't chrome or other reflective surface, I had to use Duplicolor's Metalcast Ground Coat first.

Even though I used the same paint, the fairlead and light rings are slightly different shades, I don't think there is anything I can do about it though. (For some reason my camera makes the shades look a lot different that it actually is)

Thanks dude! Haha I thought about spraying them in the kitchen because it has been so cold out recently...I sprayed them outside (about 30 degrees) but brought them inside after each coat and used a small space heater in the kitchen to help dry the paint and keep them warm. Maybe not the best idea but it seems to have worked out alright. :thumb:

Hey dude I used your thread here to install my CB and used that the same hardware. It was a big help so thank you. My speakers have a lot of static now even with the CB off. If I turn the stereo on it is very static-y. Any ideas?

Sounds like a ground issue. Might try an RF filter too, Fixing RF Problems

Thanks man. You can see how I have it all setup on my build thread I made a write up for the install. I'll try and ground it better. I also thought maybe because I moved my amp that it wasn't being grounded properly. I'll give it a shot and let you know what happened thanks man

My first instinct is that its a ground wire issue like downpour recommended and if that doesn't work out, double check the power wire and make sure that it isn't making contact with any speaker wires and that it is connected directly to the battery.

That red fairlead looks great... I'm pretty bumped to see your bumper/light setup all come together. Great build man, I love the tires and white/black color combo!

Quick question for you, I'm going to order the OTRATTW 3-switch holder, do you know what the "mounting panel thickness" was off the top of your head? I guess I could just go measure.... but I'm lazy. haha

Small update: I got my winch control box re-wired with 6' - 4 gauge wires. Now they should have no problem reaching the winch motor and battery termial.

The 3 blue wires connect to the winch motor and the red wire connects to the positive terminal of the battery.

Sweet! Nice and professional looking. Not sute if 4 awg is big enough though. A winch can pull a lot of amps.

Thanks man! The 4 gauge should be enough considering it's the same gauge as the wires that I replaced.

Another small update: In order to solve the lack of access to the winch remote plug problem, I ordered and installed a Tuff Stuff universal wireless winch controller (WINCH WIRELESS REMOTE KIT : Amazon.com : Automotive). The wireless control box fits perfectly in the winch control box and wiring it up was super easy.

I also ordered a winch quick connector (WINCH QUICK CONNECTOR : Amazon.com : Automotive). so I can disconnect the winch from the battery when its not in use

This weekend I had some time to continue prepping for my SW. Speaking of which, I talked to Mark at SW and my bumper is currently in the production process and should be here in less than 2 weeks! :bluejump:

I mounted the winch control box, ran the wires, and installed the winch quick disconnect plug.

I mounted the relay for my Hella Rallye 4000s.

and I removed the factory bumper. I zip tied on my license plate and turn signal lights just so I am legal until I get the SW installed. (Sorry for the crappy pic, I got a late start so it was dark outside by the time I finished).

I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of your SW, the transition from a factory bumper to a nice, clean, and strong bumper is amazing!
