Ok. This isn't your typical 4lo won't engage question. I searched and didn't find anything, so a question. For those who use their 4lo often enough to pay attention, do you notice a noise?
History. I bought a 2005 v8 Sport Edition back in July of last year. Everything works and the vehicle is in overall excellent condition. I made sure to check for the infamous 4lo not engaging problem. It shifted in, and continues to shift in quickly.
I do however notice a pretty audible mechanical shooshing noise when it engages. Window up or down I hear it, I am sure in part to the actual transfer actuation occurring just below my seat.
Is this normal? Anyone that pays attention notice this? This is more me checking in than anything else. In N, when I turn from H4 to L4 I hear an audible electrical rummmpf (pardon that) and it quickly engages.
Just curious.
