I have a Pro coming this month and wondering anyone with one know what the width on the wheels ended up being?
Have a Trail and upsized to 285's and want to do the same. What I've seen so far is that they have a 7" rim. Does that make any sense that they would decrease from the 7.5 on the Trail? Anyone changed out the Nitto's on there Pro yet?

It's not if the price was given to me before I offered my trade in. It was posted on their website as 39.4.
This is the only thing I had to show what I paid for it.
I agree resale was a big factor for me, and just having something different. I had two separate people this weekend, total strangers, ask about my truck. When I bought my 09 Tacoma 4dr Off Road Edition I knew down the line it would pay off. I owned the truck for 5.5 years, took all my mods off, and sold it with 60,000 miles for 23,500. Keep in mind that I paid $30K for it. 78% of my retail price....that is damn good return, for a 5.5 year old truck, I expect the TRDP to return more if not better if I ever decide to sell it...

I don’t know who these ‘people’ are that were lied to; but when I placed my order I knew what options were available, and all of them are readily available and visible on the Toyota.com website.
If someone, i.e. these ‘people’ you speak of; didn’t do their due diligence prior to heading into their local dealer to order their TRD Pro, then that’s their own fault; read “Buyer Beware”. Prototypes are exactly that: P R O T O T Y P E S. They are not always manufactured w/what is shown, sometimes they drop options or add options. Depending on what works/doesn’t work.
You seem so interested in pointing out what Toyota did SO wrong, why don’t you write them a scathing letter and tell them about it, then mention that you aren’t a TRD Pro owner, see how far that gets you.
And as far as that picture goes, in what context was it taken? How do you know those people taken the test drives weren’t informed that all the options they are seeing on that particular model wouldn’t be available on the production model? Can you say for a fact that at all the Shows, Demos, Test Drives that Toyota flat-out LIED to the customers/consumers that what they were seeing was going to be an exact PRODUCTION Model? You can’t, can you? Please do us all a favor, go take your negativity elsewhere.
Hendooman, This was not the answer I am looking for right now - I just put a deposit on a '15 4RTEP instead of a TRDP mostly because I was on the fence between the two (for a few reasons - practicality, re-sale question, no sunroof) and I found a black TEP, nearby at the best price ive seen for any TEP ive seen in a 400 mile range.
Your statement makes me regret this a little bit - but i "think" i'm making the right decision. It has been a very hard decision for me, and I'm still not 100% on it, but I think I've made more of a "wiser" decision for my situation and purpose. I wish I wasn't so practical.

Mine will be here in about a month and this is one of the first things I am going to look into. I also want to upsize to 285s as soon as I can. Everything I have heard is that they are 7 in wide wheels as well.

This was a big factor for me when I was looking between TE and TRD. Both trucks have awesome features that I liked but in the end the slightly more off road tuned suspension and the potential of better resale did it for me... And the way the truck looked off the showroom floor didn't hurt.

Love the TRDP, it looks awsome and was the canvas for TEP mods. However like others have mentioned, Toyota provided a selection of models to meet OUR individual needs. Some keep it stock, others continue to tweak for their use. It's what makes the 4Runner a great vehicle.

In 2002 I think, I went for a test drive for a Honda Civic (I was trying to have an open mind). At the time, to get ABS you had to get the package with the sunroof as well. On the test drive, we went over a bridge, there was a bump, and my head hit the roof because of the sunroof. I told the salesman no point in going any further.
Fast forward to 2012, had to get the sunroof to get a TE. I hate it. It lowers the inside, you have to be careful getting in the rear you don't bump your head. Then its another piece of GD glass I need to clean.
And what do you know, TRD Pro has no sunroof. Learn something new every day.

I hate sunroofs, I always hope for the "sunroof delete" options when looking at cars. The 4Runner is getting a full length roof rack so having one would've been that much more of an insult.

Sheesh, that one looks like a Mary Kay car.
The photo has clearly had a filter applied to it - look at the FRS in the background -- it looks very washed out.

Some variations follow, thanks to my GF who was so pained watching me flail with InDesign/PhotoShop CC that she whipped these up (my last real expertise with Photoshop was v6.5).
They were done quickly, so be kind, and she took ideas I mentioned and put them together. Clearly, some could be explored/expanded further, but I wanted to share these for folks who were thinking about what vinyl wrap might look like on an Inferno TRDP.
I'm not totally sold on the black roof, but the grey might look cool.

If you don't mind, I would love to analyze your full document to see if they shifted the $2,000.00 to your trade in. I suspect this is how you may have gotten it $2000.00 below the MSRP. Is it possible to see the document without the redlines covering the trade in value, and also specs of your trade in?

Does anyone know if the black fender flares from a 2010-12 trail edition fit the 2015 body style?
I'd love to resolve the paint matched white ones for the abs black ones that te trails had. I know the front bumper fillers would probably be the only bin matching part? Which I could try to paint to match I think
