4runner TRD Pro

Hi Drsus,

If you don't mind, I would love to analyze your full document to see if they shifted the $2,000.00 to your trade in. I suspect this is how you may have gotten it $2000.00 below the MSRP. Is it possible to see the document without the redlines covering the trade in value, and also specs of your trade in?

-Cire

Like I said, the truck was advertise On their site at 39.4... To anyone inquiring, traded or no trade.
I got 28.5 for my 2012 tacoma (had a leer shell leather interior with seat heaters two week old DuraTrac tons of Toyota add ins etc) if that helps you with the math ;)

The trade only helped me on tax brakes, not the msrp of the new truck. I looked into putting down what I could've sold my truck for privately instead to get an extra 1k (maybe) but the tax difference would've been about 2k so I would've lost 1k by not trading in.

After 5 weeks of waiting my wife picked up her Inferno today from the dealer. Pictures coming tomorrow.

After speaking with the inventory manager and a sales manager they cannot 'order' a specific color of TRDP. That is why they use the term 'alotted.' Our inventory manager/dealership earned 13 car orders for the month and requested 5 TRDPs...luckily he was sent one but it burned up the other 4 spots out of the 13.

Awesome!!! Congrats! I think you are the first on this forum (that we know of) to actually obtain an Inferno Red. Can't wait to see some of the pics.

BTW, your comment regarding how the dealerships obtain TRDPs regarding color is exactly why I am having to wait so long for my Inferno Red. The dealership that I am working with has been allotted a bunch of black and white TRDPs but no Infernos. Mine is the first Inferno that was allotted and will be delivered to my dealership. This is all regardless of the fact my pre-order was the first to go into the system for the region I am in. Long story short, it seems we are all at the mercy of the allocation of these things as decided by Toyota.

Some variations follow, thanks to my GF who was so pained watching me flail with InDesign/PhotoShop CC that she whipped these up (my last real expertise with Photoshop was v6.5).

They were done quickly, so be kind, and she took ideas I mentioned and put them together. Clearly, some could be explored/expanded further, but I wanted to share these for folks who were thinking about what vinyl wrap might look like on an Inferno TRDP.

I'm not totally sold on the black roof, but the grey might look cool.

Really nice photoshop job!

Does anyone know if the black fender flares from a 2010-12 trail edition fit the 2015 body style?
I'd love to resolve the paint matched white ones for the abs black ones that te trails had. I know the front bumper fillers would probably be the only bin matching part? Which I could try to paint to match I think
Won't work. The parts don't line up correctly. You can plastidip the fenders, a member or two has done that already

Hendooman, This was not the answer I am looking for right now - I just put a deposit on a '15 4RTEP instead of a TRDP mostly because I was on the fence between the two (for a few reasons - practicality, re-sale question, no sunroof) and I found a black TEP, nearby at the best price ive seen for any TEP ive seen in a 400 mile range.

Your statement makes me regret this a little bit - but i "think" i'm making the right decision. It has been a very hard decision for me, and I'm still not 100% on it, but I think I've made more of a "wiser" decision for my situation and purpose. I wish I wasn't so practical.

Thanks for the response on this. Cheers

You sound like you weighed your options correctly for your situation. Dont get me wrong the TEP should bring plenty in resale!

Thank you both -- it was my girlfriend who got these done. Gotta love the magic wand, color range select and all of the cool masking options in PS these days. She is about 100 times faster than me (she does it for a living -- I don't anymore).

I like the black roof and hood the best, mainly because over the wheel wells I don't think the grey looks right. Really like the black hood, looks kick ass, with my full length Gobi, the black roof would look a little strange the contrast of the white with all the black bars looks sharp IMO.

4runners have a high resale value . . . Period! Get the model you want, not what the next owner wants.

Got a text from my guy the other day that a salesman there got in his inferno Tundra. Drove by today to see the color in person. Here's the truck under flat light of an overcast and gloomy day. Pic is just from my iPhone and unmessed with. Looks kinda like a rust color to me. Can't wait to see my runner in it. Should look pretty sweet.

You guys...
Just remember everyone who buys a 4Runner and posts here thinks that what they bought is the best. Let me repeat that: Everyone who buys a 4Runner and posts here thinks that what they bought is the best.

The TEP crowd, the LE crowd and your TRDP crowd. Us SR5P guys do too.
Why? Who knows. You guys have a TE with a a different suspension, wheels and a different front end. Guess what - The LE guys have that too with a different drivetrain!
The truth is none are better or worse than the other and looks are subjective as nobody will ever agree on the the looks.

Enjoy the TRDPro because I am really liking my SR5P (after having a TEP) and I'm sure the LE guys love theirs too. Anybody who knows anything about off road knows that the driver is what matters the most. We could take the baddest, most capable 4Runner that's been modded here and a pro driver in a stock Subaru Outback would clean our clocks in all conditions. I have always said skids are for people who can't pick the correct line...

Don't forget the UnLimited crowd...although since I am the only one, I guess its not exactly a crowd.

Which dealership?

Which dealership?

larry miller in Arizona. i live in Los Angeles, drove out there just because of the deal. All Cali dealers marked it up. right when i made my deal with that dealer suddenly some of the Cali dealers had a change of heart and would sell it to me for msrp...which was still a few K over what i was getting mine from AZ.

The Larry Miller finance guy was actually shocked to hear some dealer were marking it up which its confusing to me. I'm guessing maybe they didn't know how limited the models were?
