Nope not at all. I used isolators to prevent the d rings from hitting the skid plate and washers to close out the gap. I bought extra washers and used 4 washers per d ring.

They are actually not bad at all in the snow. I use to have them on my tundra

The isolators and washers are made by Daystar. Part # is ku70057bk. I got them on ebay. Hope this helps.

Recent big snow here in Pennsylvania, they did ok. Not impressed......dry pavement - noisy and they tend to wander on the interstate. Had Michelin LTX MS on 14TE. Much better tire........Several very deep snows and the tires had great traction.

Most likely will replace them with the LTX MS2 tire.

Seems the LTX MS is too pavement-oriented. I'd rather keep something a bit more rugged. The KO2 is snow rated, and keeps an aggressive tread. I don't mind the stock Nittos for now. Snowy season is almost behind us.

I had mine up on Mt. Hood today. I wasn't impressed with the tires in snow. They got by ok but compared to the KOs on my 94 4Runner they weren't that great. Since winter is coming to an end soon I'm going to keep the nittos on it for summer and will switch them out next October. I actually managed to get the truck semi stuck in the snow but was able to get it out with crawl control. This was in about 14" of snow that I am 100% certain my 94 would have went right through. I've had it up in the same spot where I snowshoe many times. Wasn't the truck, it was all tires.

That was what I was afraid of. Have decided to go ahead and make a deal on changing them out immediately. I have found over several vehicles that I come out better with a trade telling the tire dealer I will drive straight from the dealer lot and trade new tires. I am thinking of trying some GEO15 Geolander.
