4runner TRD Pro

Nothing we haven't seen before at this point, but the dealer just emailed me these pics. 20% tint and roof rack crossbars already taken care of. Can't wait to get behind the wheel and feel the freedom of an off roader again!

I went to my parts department and ordered the shift knob for the TRD-Pro 4Runner for my Limited I have on order. Sheer thing of beauty and welcome replacement for the whole two pieces of "wood grain" in the Limited.

Anyone have (own) a black one yet?

I do. Pictures a page or two back.

New To Forum

Hi everyone, I'm new to the Forum and have a TRD Pro on order. Unfortunately every time I call or stop by my dealership the estimated delivery keeps getting pushed back. I'm seeing on this board and on twitter that folks in FL, CA, NC,TX have already gotten delivery and they are telling me November. Any insight on how to get a better eta would be welcome.

How certain are you that it is truly "on order"?

Seems the term could be ambiguous, like "invoice price" of a vehicle.

If you want a TRDPRO that bad its best to doing a nationwide search and find a dealer that has it. Locate it, fly there, pick it up, and drive it home. That's what I would do. Mane people on here have done the same. I myself flew to Illinois to purchase a vehicle and drove it back to California.

Good point! They have my deposit and they gave me the standard yellow agreement with the price and my trade-in value but no Vin#

That is a great suggestion. If I didn't have so much equity in my trade in that saves me on tax I would do this.

Yeah. Listen, if it's REALLY on order, they can show you. If they can't/won't - well, you decide. "On-order" likely means they are 'watching' inbound regional inventory for one that matches your spec. If a matching vehicle is assigned to another dealer, then yours has to negotiate/trade to get it.

When I ordered mine, my dealer located it on an inbound boat, allocated it, and produced a vin. I was told 2 weeks, it took 3 1/2. They gave me a loaner in the meantime.

I am in NY on Long Island. My dealer, one of the largest, received his allocation for my truck end of Sept. Received Vin Monday. Expects end Oct - first week of Nov. Good luck.

I "ordered" my truck. They had a VIN as soon as it was off the production line. Arrival time was iffy until it got to port at which time they gave me a set date. It actually showed up at the dealer a week earlier than expected. From the time I gave my deposit till I picked the truck up was almost 2 months exactly. This wasn't a Pro...

Thanks everyone for the guidance! I called the dealership and they produced the VIN with an ETA of the last week in October or first week in November. Its a real order now. :thumb:

Anyone on the forum in the us secured an inferno red trd? My michigan dealer has told me not to even bother putting a deposit down. I can fly to a dealer in the us to pick one up if they are in stock.

I had a TRD Pro on order since day one at a dealer where I previouly purchased my 2011 Trail. Only to find out the day that the TRD Pro arrived, the dealer was now asking $5000 over MSRP due to the initial limitation. I told them I will pass, and thanked them for not keeping to our agreement. Not to terribly upset, I did a search of local dealers a found three TRD Pro's here in San Diego. One dealer offered me a $500 off MSRP, and just took the deal.

Ps. It's a toss up! Trail or TRD Pro.. I like them both.

Is there anyone waiting for an Inferno Red who has received any build/delivery date information? I am still anxiously awaiting with no updates from my dealer and salesman. Not to say that my sales guy isn't doing anything about this, as I do know that he is consistently checking their inventory system and putting in call to the Toyota Gods. I just keep hearing conflicting expected dealer delivery dates from others outside of this forum that are all over the place.

I put a refundable deposit down on a Inferno Orange 4Runner TRD Pro.

Now that I have one "on hold/on the way/reserved" for me I'm shopping other stealerships.

The one I have on the way is $1000 under MSRP but I may find a better deal as time goes on. I have plenty of time to negotiate between dealers.
