4runner TRD Pro

Great to see everyone that is getting theirs, And damn you TRDPRORUNNER. That looks awesome! Like we agreed before, Desert Dawg is sort of an inspiration on what I want, and now so is yours. Sorry again to all those who I may have left hanging with answers and I tried to reply to as many PM's as possible. It's now the middle of the month, and I have a dealership that was willing to offer me $35K for my trade in, but problem is they got a little hungry, and now retracted their offer to sell to me at my cost. Said I would have to get one allocated, which would be next month. I was SOOO set, and am now back on the fence on what to do. I have found some revelations though that may be helpful. The suspension that comes for the TRDP is NOT adjustable. It does appear that way because the driver and passenger side are set on two different notches, but they do not adjust higher. For those seeking adjustability in a factory TRD suspension, The Tacoma Baja suspension is the factory suspension that has this. It has 3 settings which should allow for you to adjust. Rumored to have been similar to what was used for the preproduction TRDP, but post production received non adjustable medium setting. IDK where you can get a similar factoryish suspension for the 4R other than the FJ Trail Team Last Edition, which is also not adjustable. Also, the grille can be purchased with some trickery. Below are some part numbers with description. I don't think the lower needs to be purchased as there is no difference listed between TRDP and other categories. I am listing Cost as Retail (can't give everything away).

Part Number Description Cost

53112-35060 Grille, Radiator, Lower $127.83

PZ327-35054-E0 Grille, Radiator, Outer Orange $176.80

PZ327-35054-B0 Grille, Radiator, Outer Silver (Price not listed)

PZ327-35054-A0 Grille, Radiator, Outer Super White $199.08

PZ327-35054-C1 Grille, Radiator, Outer Attitude Black $176.80

PZ327-35053 Grille, Radiator, Upper(color not listed) $239.00

All of the images appear to be the same for Outer and Upper (see below) and each color, so not quite sure what the difference is... I would assume that upper painted piece can be scrapped. I am starting to price out everything and considering staying with my TEP MGM w/ KDSS. Sadly.

Got mine Sat, 10/11/2014, White, loving everything so far. Came from a 2004 Sport V8. My regional sales guy told me that the Pros are "earned" by how many 4runners the dealer has sold in the past. Like to hear from people getting vehicle to compare notes good, bad, etc. Thanks....

Is that pin-striping down the side... If so, what color? We have a black, white, and red stripe here that I think would look nice with the theme on a Super White. Striping isn't for everyone, but when done right it can set you apart!

Yes DesertDawg's rig is truly awesome and he's been an inspiration for me for sure! He's also been very helpful w/ advice on the Coopers too! I also love his LED setup on the Gobi. Very Nice DD!

JM4Runner, whatever you decide I'm sure it'll be awesome. After all, sounds like you've got a great truck as it is! Thanks again for all the help in the port process.

JM4Runner,

Thanks for getting us these part #'s and diagram, it is very helpful. I don't know if I am just reading it wrong or what, but could you tell us what the GARNISH,FR BUMPER part # is? I'm assuming that what you are saying is that we need to replace is the GRILLE,RADITOR,UPR and the GARNISH,FR BUMPER correct? Thanks again for the help.

What about this lower piece? Is it painted black, or is it a cover?

Each one of those part numbers listed gives the same diagram in the part ordering system. So assumming that the outer/upper part number includes all of those pieces in the diagram and that the "Garnish," which would ideally be the only piece needed, cannot be ordered alone. There is no individual part number for that "TOYOTA" piece.

"What about this lower piece? Is it painted black, or is it a cover?"

This lower piece is painted. Same for the rear. Matte black instead of the normal TE silver.

So you are the one who bought that black beauty at Walser Toyota!

Another Minnesotan, woot!

Were you trying to buy the Black Pro at Burnsville Toyota?

Is this Sam at Walser Toyota?

Black Pro at Walser Toyota in Bloomington on Friday evening. Must be Sean N's:

The Black TRD PRO is still sitting in the Burnsville Toyota back lot. I saw it today when I test drove the FJ Cruiser Trails Team Ultimate they have on the lot.

Picked up my black TRDP tonight!
Like driving it,
Like sitting in the garage and staring at it,
Dislikes; nothing comes to mind...

We have a lot in common! I just find things to do in the garage so I can keep looking at it and tinkering with it. It has that effect! Congrats!
