4runner TRD Pro

I spotted a black TRD PRO at Shepards Team Auto Plaza in Fort Scott KS. Man I just bought my 2014 trail edition 4 months ago o'well!

Just got a call from the dealer. No sliding cargo floors available, but I am getting an Inferno TRDP sometime in the next 5 weeks!

If you get your Inferno before me or a couple other people on this site I say your dealership is a miracle worker or you're incredibly lucky!

Some of us have had ours "ordered" since September and won't get ours until late January.:noidea:

Keep us posted on the status of your order.

I'm calling my dealership as soon as they open to get the scoop on mine.

gearhead1: Agreed! This dealership would be a miracle worker! I have had my order in since July 8th and I am not getting my inferno until sometime late January as well. Please keep us posted and post pics when you get yours. If you do get yours in the next 5 weeks, awesome!!!

I'm not betting any large sums on the timeline they gave me -- I've read most of this thread and see that there are many waiting for an Inferno. Still, if the Infernos are on the line now, or coming off of it, loading onto the ship, etc., I could see mid-January as a possibility. Maybe.

Picked up the new rig yesterday and had to get it a little dirty. It performed flawlessly throughout everything I could find to throw at it. I am really happy with the purchase. I also added picture of the aftermarket moonroof that was installed by a certified Toyota shop that carries a warranty through Toyota.

Yea, I can't wait for this thing to show up! I want to get with enough time to enjoy the nice cool weather here in AZ. It would also be nice to do most of my modifications while the garage is less then 120 degrees.

Sweet!!! This is what I was thinking about doing with a sunroof. If you don't mind saying so, how much did the sunroof cost you after parts and install?

Excellent! That is not bad and worth the $$$ in my opinion. Maybe I can work that into the deal... Thanks!

That's what I did. Remote Start was added at the port and the moonroof by a third party through the dealership. I picked it up completed and it was just one extra day and no hassle.

Very cool. My sales guy is out of the office today and back tomorrow. I am going to call him first thing tomorrow morning and start talking about this. It would be ideal to just pick it when it is all done rather than trading in my Subaru STi and having to do the one vehicle family dance for a few days while they do the work. Thanks again!

If that's the case, can I tell the dealer not to install the factory remote start & rigid running boards at the port?

My Inferno is due in port 12/9 with 2-3 weeks expected until delivery to dealer.

That is not bad timing wise! You could end up with one hell of a Christmas present. hehe.

My dealer dude just told me that "Toyota has started the allocation process on the Inferno 4runners. The vehicles are still in Japan, and dealers will start to get them in 6-7 weeks."

For your sake, I hope your guy is correct and my guy is getting some wrong info.

Oil and Oil Change Question

Hi.

New guy here. Followed this thread for awhile and picked up my Black TRD Pro about a month ago.

Coming from a 2013 Tacoma, the oil change was every 5k, until I switched to synthetic.

Today I got a card welcoming me to Toyota care. It is specific and welcoming to my 4Runner with Vin number, roadside assistance card, etc. It gives a breakdown of scheduled services for Toyota care and for oil changes, it says 10,000 miles and 20,000 miles. This would imply that I have synthetic oil.

The Warranty and Maintenance guide that came with owners manual, states to see manual for oil type. doing so state SAE 0W-20. An internet search shows this as Full synthetic and then back in the Warrant?schedule book it shows 10k and 20k again for oil and filter.

So....Am I correct in assuming that this 4Runner comes from the factory and has full synthetic right now? It seems to be the case but just wanting to confirm.

Sorry if this is dumb question, but never had a car come with full synthetic already and not having to do oil changes until every 10,000 miles which is pretty awesome if this is indeed the case.

That is my understanding that it is full synthetic. I however wouldn't wait 10,000 miles for the first oil change on a brand new vehicle. I'd probably get it changed in 3000.
