4runner TRD Pro

I ordered a BajaRack from Torfab Thursday and it shipped Friday! It will be my first "mod" besides my WeatherTechs and CanvasBack liner. I am looking into some BudBuilt sliders next. Anyone put any rock sliders on their TRDP yet?

Nice! That is a great area. Your TRDP is looking right at home on the trail.

I will soon be ordering a Gobi Stealth Rack and Shrockworks sliders as well. I have ordered a few others things but these are priorities as far as I am concerned. I would also like to hear what you think of the CanvasBack liner.

Here is mine with Shrockworks dimpled tread plate sliders.

Take a look at the Metal Tech sliders. I have used them on my FJ.. I like that they kick out and can be used as a step. Otherwise Demello makes a nice kick out slider too.

I also like the Bud Built products.

I concur with you, I did the same thing (try to match factory tint). Definitely a different hue (w/3M). I am going to change this before summer, go a little darker. It is too light for my preference, and I dont like the difference in hue.

Let us know what you end up with, I may do the same.

Could've sworn I saw someone post about front/rear lift springs to match to the factory TRD Bilsteins but now I can't find the post. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Guy said it was from Toytec I believe.

Looks fun, can't wait to see how it looks with the rack. If you can do you mind posting a picture of your canvasback liner? I'm planning on getting one when mine arrives but haven't found many good pics. How are you liking it so far?
I absolutely love my Canvasback liner! I actually ordered it before my TRDP arrived because the website said it would take 4+ weeks but it took more like 2 weeks. I installed it the first night I had my TRDP in about 5 minutes. Mine is the black color and it matches the interior perfectly. I take my big Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd dog with me everyday to work and off-road so I also got the 20” bumper flap. I would recommend the flap especially if you have big dogs jumping in and out a lot like me. The liner is held down to the carpet in the truck with Velcro and stays put even with dog claws digging into it. It has been used daily since I got my TRDP in mid December with no issues. Please excuse the plethora of white “wolf” fur! ☺

I like the rocky road sliders. I like the type that blends in with body work better so that things are not sticking out and getting caught up. They can still be used as a step, you just. Ant fit your whole foot on it but you don't need that.

*not my truck, picture from their site. I'm ordering mine soon

I really like the look of the Rocky Road sliders the best as well, but I emailed them asking about the fit on the TRDP and they were not helpful. Budbuilt actually has a "Pro" trim level option listed in their order form. Also, after the last few days of off-roading I think I would like a bit of a bump out.

Thanks for sharing! Looks great, that's exactly the reason I'm looking to get them!

I really like the Metal Tech but it says they are for the SR5. Do you know if they will fit the TRDP?

There will be no difference in the fitment between the different ones. The frame an body is the same through all the modes. You will run into problems with different year models.

yeah this was confusing me that guys are saying some companies say theirs don't fit the trdp...its the same truck as any trim. i understand that the limited may have some extra body parts hanging on the side, but I'm sure even thats easily solved.

I'm confused as to why it would fit the sr5/trail but no the Pro..its the same frame/truck and body trim as far as i know. what did they site as the reason for the differences?

I am pretty sure that there pro trim would be considered a different slider ie more beefy. I think we may be getting confused with the term pro.

Edit:

Now i can finally get back on the site wth. Anyways, went to budbuilt after I posted this and well, I was mistaken. They do actually ask for which trim model your vehicle is in there options. Here is what I found out.
From his site "These work with the Trail Edition models. Installation for SR5 and Limited Edition will require you to remove or trim your rocker panels." It would seem as if there is different trim on the different models and seems as if some manufacturers may make them different to fit the trim levels so Caveat Emptor. I would call to verify the fit from the manufacturer. Or the installation instructions may differ as it may require you remove a trim piece. Albiet I do stand by my assumption that there is no difference in how they would mount to the frame in the different trim levels, all bolt holes are in the same place on the frame.

I highly doubt that. I think they just haven't seen a Pro in person yet to confirm it would fit.

Sorry for the late post guys and girls. Work has been brutal and busy as all hell, but I finally got a chance to get it done. SpiderTrax 1.25in All-4
