4runner TRD Pro

Does anyone out there know if the Hi-Lift jack Lift Mate (LM-100) hooks will fit into the TRD Pro wheel spokes??

Have you considered putting in an after market sun roof? I ordered my Inferno yesterday and the sales guy was telling me about their experience with it. I'll post about it.

I did very seriously consider an aftermarket sunroof installed by the dealer with warranty and dealer parts. However, after much thought I decided not to get it since I am going to be installing a Gobi Stealth rack. At first I was going to order the sunroof insert but after talking with them on the phone, they are just going to build me a full length rack without the gap for the sunroof. This will allow me to install the 150W solar panel in this front most location of the roof rack. So, no sun roof for me.

It was 8 degrees last night and when I started driving most bumps I hit the clunk sound from the front end was very evident. It sounds like there is something loose or something hitting another part (Sorry for the non-technical description)I haven't taken it to the dealer yet but its very annoying from a vehicle with less than 1500 miles on it and it definitely is more noticeable in colder weather.

I remember others hearing the same thing. If anyone has any updates on this or has figured it out please post. I am wondering if the TE has this issue too or is this only a TRDP thing.

Hey bud did you find out what that noise was? Mines making the same clunk noise like something is loose...

There's a separate thread called "TRD PRO CLUNK" that is addressing the reported issues. Some have brought theirs in and even reproduced the clunk but nobody has figured it out yet.

This concerns me....not sure if I want to spend $40K on a vehicle that makes a clunk sound. Anyone want to make a bid on my Inferno that will be here in a couple weeks?

Hey everyone - my inferno came in on Monday and is currently sitting at the new car warehouse waiting for me to go get it at the dealer. Unfortunately, circumstances beyond my control prevent me from going through with the purchase. With that being said, the salesman is a good friend of mine and I would hate to see him lose the sale to anyone who might walk in once the truck is on the showroom floor. So basically if anyone wants to come to the northern new jersey area and get an inferno TRDP for msrp (*GUARANTEED* not a cent higher or lower) please call me at or PM me on this forum so I can connect you with my friend at the dealership and he can get commission on the sale. Thanks.

No, nothing yet. Its just plain annoying and very noticeable. I didn't take it to the dealer yet but from what I'm hearing they are no help and no service bulletin posted yet. May have to stick a Go-Pro camera pointed at the moving parts and try to replicate it. I will also check out 444's note on the clunk thread

The dealer said both shock push rods were loose.

Not completely, but it is very hard to detect now. Definitely an improvement. Also posted in TRD Pro clunk thread... Never herd of a "shock push rod"...anyone?

I had been tossing the idea around of trading in my 2014 Limited for a 2015 TRD Pro. I checked local dealership just to see if there might be one en route...low and behold, a black one was due in today. I gave them a phone call and they informed me that it just came off the truck so I headed up there to take a look at it assuming that it was pre-order and already spoken for, I didnt get to excited. Well....come to find out amazingly it was up for grabs. Got a great offer on my 4runner for trade in and picked up the TRD Pro for $42,250.

Pics to soon follow.

Just an quick update. Truck is en route from Japan. Also received the husky weatherbeaters for front and back today. I've had the WeatherTech floor liners in my previous two vehicles and loved them. Got a good deal on these so I figured I'd give them a shot. Definitely a different material...more rubbery than plastic. Also I like how it covers the left foot rest on the drivers side. Will post more once they're installed.

Just a reminder my "reservation" on the inferno ends on Monday. If anyone wants this you should let me know asap.

I went to AZ Sun Tops by Sky Harbor airport. The manager, Kerry was awesome and very helpful. They do all Right Toyota's aftermarket stuff. They do 85% Toyotas. He has a 13' SR5 that he put a sunroof in. I was impressed by the workmanship, it looked like it was factory. I'll probably have him put one in mine. I've had several shops tell me that they can't put a Toyota sunroof in for various reasons, and that it would cost around $3,000 if it could be done.
