If you type in Southwest in the search bar and click on the first link there are a lot of meet ups there. We had 6 4Runners about a month ago meet and it was last minute. I'll keep you name down the next time I see something come around. Mingus Mtn is on my short list actually

Well looks like the sale of my Total Chaos LT has gone through, would have loved to move it over to the new truck. Just it is not practical with how I am using the truck. It left me some mod money while I am waiting for the truck to come into port early Feb.

I bought the Gobi Stealth from Trail Ready, ended up with a ladder, air dam, tool box, with full mesh flooring , no sunroof right! And mods for a desert runner 40" curvd led light bar for $1395 shipped.

I think it worked out well with the extras and the mods included in the price. It is by far my favorite that is available for the 4Runner so far. IE Corssbrace and full mesh floor, stronger tubing, lower fairing. No powdercoat issues that I have seen, decent warranty, etc. it will serve my purposes well. Even allowing me to have a platform to mount a RTT if I would like. Most likely with the dogs I will do a fairing for travel, with walls. Its a pain to get them up a ladder.

I will post some install pictures perhaps a video when I get everything in as I like playing with my D70.

I did. It's here and I'm actually taking delivery tomorrow. It arrived last Saturday but my work week was nuts and I wasn't able to pick it up yet. I did stop in and drive it for a minutes while I finalized the paperwork. Initial impressions were very positive. Initially I test drove an sr5. That suspension I found to be a bit on the mushy side. The Pro suspension was definitely firmer and I like that.
Very excited to pick it up tomorrow.

Finally got to see a TRD Pro, and in Inferno, no less.

It was at a dealership on the north side of Chicago ... went after work ... and it was already sold.

So then they say, we can get you one, just a sign a piece of paper concerning trade in value and intent to buy (as I recall) , and we sell them for $2000 over invoice.

I said no thanks.

Um, they had this one at MSRP on cars.com. I think I can do better than $2k over, pardon me.

$2,000 over MSRP is different than $2,000 over invoice. Invoice was something like $38.5K, give or take, last I knew. I could be wrong...

Finally got warm enough here to put on the first coat of wax, sorry for the kind of crappy cell phone picture but I think it shows how different the inferno paint looks from different angles and in different light. My dad got an early look at the Detroit Auto Show and sent me the second picture (even crappier cell phone pic). I plan on taking the running boards off soon and selling them, and plasti dipping the rails on the roof as well as the chrome toyota logo on the back.

Got it. Love it. They are just BETTER in person. I had test-driven a Trail, and I enjoyed it, but you can definitely tell the difference in the ride in the TRDP - definitely firmer suspension tuning. It feels solid and predictable.

For my job, I travel a lot and end up with all sorts of rental cars (e.g., I just had a 2015 Suburban LT last week), and I'm somewhat used to getting into a "new" car and having to adapt to it. The TRDP just felt natural, from steering feel, to suspension firmness/tracking to understanding my corners and where the wheels were related to what I could actually see.

I'm impressed and, based on my experience today, very happy with my purchase.

Picked up my inferno today. Love it so far. Only question this far is how in the world do I get it to unlock all four doors by hitting the key fob only one time? It's gotta be possible.

Just press it twice. Easy peasy. And then when you are being chased by a madman and you get to your driver's door while he is on the passenger side, you can still open JUST the driver's door in an emergency/panic situation. I'd personally NEVER want all 5 doors to unlock every time (only when I want them to, thus press the key fob twice and done). Also saves that much more wear and tear on the remaining 4 lock actuators (at least when unlocking)...

Congrats! It is possible to change that setting. In my tundra there is a customizable options section in the manual, check there to make sure its the same on the 4Runner, then any dealer can change it.

Thanks Ammo. Will do. I haven't even cracked open the owners manual yet but I plan on it later tonight. Usually I can figure these things out without too much difficulty. Figures Toyota would get the best of me lol.

Congrats! It is possible to change that setting. In my tundra there is a customizable options section in the manual, check there to make sure its the same on the 4Runner, then any dealer can change it.

i don't think that setting is available, unfortunately. at least i haven't been able to find it anywhere in Techstream, anyway.

this thread has an older version of the customizable feature list, not sure if it's precisely the same for the 14+...

My friend picked up a blue 15 SR5 and is planning on adding those wheels. He'll like seeing exactly what it looks like before he drops the coin.

No mention of a 2016 Tacoma TRD Pro version at the D. Autoshow. I hope they are not pulling the plug already.
