4runner TRD Pro

That might be mine. I'm headed to pick mine up today.

$2,000 over MSRP is different than $2,000 over invoice. Invoice was something like $38.5K, give or take, last I knew. I could be wrong...

Yeah, iamadumbass, it was 2k over MSRP.

I loved the sale BS that goes with it, he said only 1,000 Pros were made.

Just an quick update. Truck is en route from Japan. Also received the husky weatherbeaters for front and back today. I've had the WeatherTech floor liners in my previous two vehicles and loved them. Got a good deal on these so I figured I'd give them a shot. Definitely a different material...more rubbery than plastic. Also I like how it covers the left foot rest on the drivers side. Will post more once they're installed.

I wore the carpet thru to bare metal on the foot rest on my Subaru Forester, so I liked the idea of the Huskys better.

I have noticed that despite their best intentions of Husky, I have a pool of water around the dam around the hole for the tie down closer to the door. Then the rest of the floor mat gets flooded too, I have to wipe up "The Great Salt Lake" from time to time.

I've been reading the thread off and on... anybody add remote start at the dealership? I have one on its way to the dealership right now and they didn't get to add the remote start at port.

What should it cost at a dealership? They want to charge me $620. Seems a bit high. I thought I read $500 in here somewhere but now I can't find it.

I also thought I recalled someone saying they got 0% through Toyota. I'm hosed on that as well but didn't really expect it. FWIW, I'm paying MSRP less $500

They're already getting me on my trade a bit since they know I'm buying. Anybody want a 2011 Trail Teams FJ (Army Green)? $25,500 bottom price

We ordered ours in with that option for $500. I do think that since Toyota advertises it as an "accessory" rather than an option the dealer should be able to install it for you.

I wouldn't pay more than $500 for it though, that's full price so they are out of their minds. Honestly, since many dealers offer parts and labor deals from time to time you should be able to get it for less than $500 if you shop around.

Got mine for free as part of the deal but I think it runs about $500 for the remote start and an additional $100 for the alarm function. Picking my TRD PRO Inferno up tonight :lmao:

DO NOT get the factory remote start. They are lame.

If you live near a Best Buy sign up for their "deal of the day" online. They regularly offer a remote start deal for around $200. It's a really good system.

Viper something or other if I recall correctly.

I second that! I ordered a remote start and it was installed at the dealer who charged me $550. I found out later they use a local vehicle radio and security company that would charge me $230 for the exact same thing installed by the same guy. Also if they dealer tells you that it voids your warranty that is complete BS. Ask them for it in writing.

floor mat color advice (?)

My Inferno will be here in about 10 days. I'd like to order my floor mats (probably Husky) and have them here before the 4Runner arrives.

For those of you who have the TRD Pro... would you advise to go with gray or black floor mats. I don't recall how much gray/silver is inside the vehicle and looking at images online doesn't really give me the best perspective.

Thank you for your input.

Go with Black, Interior is all black with the exception the the headliner material.

I ordered the husky weatherbeaters in black my TRD pro (hopefully in port today). They are true black and look to match the interior of the pro much better than the gray would.

I went with black. The gray that exists in the interior is very light gray, which isn't going to match the floor mats. I also like black rubber floor mats because they do not show the grease from the bottom of your shoes and boots while on hardcore mall crawling trips. In my experience the gray does show this parking log grease.

Is this the Cypher from GFB?

Picked up my inferno today. Love it so far. Only question this far is how in the world do I get it to unlock all four doors by hitting the key fob only one time? It's gotta be possible.

Congrats!! How do the tires do in the snow and ice? This is the first time that I have ever had the Nitto Terra Grapplers.

Thanks man!
I love it. I took my boys on some mild off road trails yesterday and I was very pleased with the tires in bumper deep snow. They throw snow well and grip well too. Moderate slipping on ice, but that's to be expected. Overall very pleased with both truck and tires.
Hope you're loving yours too!

I had Terra Grapplers on my 2010 4Runner. They were the best tires of all time until about 45,000 miles. Then they went to crap.

Hopefully they have better tread life these days.
