4runner TRD Pro

I don't know how I measured it before....hmmmm. I'll blame that one on the alcohol.

Lowest point is about 80inches. .

Hope that's good enough.

TRD PRO Chico, CA

I have been seeing a stock White TRDP still with dealer tags in Chico, CA. Does It belong to one of you guys?

New to the forum and first post. Just purchased a Trail Premium and am in the process of making updates to TRD components. Does anyone know how long the wait is for the TRD grill as they appear to be on back order? Thanks!

Winter storm Thor is no match for Blanco!!!!!

Had to drive across NC to pick up a Super White. Winter Storm Thor provided good practice grounds for figuring out 4H, 4L, Crawl, and Snow settings. Been through two winter storms already. Crawl in the slowest setting seems like the transmission is about to fall out! I know it's normal, I'm just saying... I'll upload the vid....Vid is too big...I'll figure it out later...

Perfect timing!

I sold my 2001 4Runner Friday morning, not knowing exactly when the new TRD would come in. 1 hour later the dealer called me and said it was in.

I'm on my way to pick it up!

So I have been trying to get back into a 4runner ever since selling off my 2006 Sport. Selling it will go down as one of my biggest mistakes.

Have been wanting a 5th Gen. Trail, though haven't pulled the trigger due to not having the auto on/off headlights. And just not into the looks of the Limited.

Have fallen in love with the TRD Pro, though now that I have my current vehicle sold.....there are no White TRD Pro's available.

If any dealers are reading this, and you have one available, please reach out.

Dude! You're in the perfect location. All the 4Runners come right through Portland. Just go down and find a port worker you can bribe!

Kidding aside, you might have to order it. I put my order in on Jan 12 and I'm picking up today. Good luck.

GOT IT! And thanks to all here for this thread.

So after ordering back on January 12th, I picked mine up from the dealer yesterday morning. Friday morning, I parted ways with my old 2001 4Runner. I sold it to someone I know, not knowing when the new one would arrive. One hour later, the dealer called and said it was in. Freaky timing!

I want to thank everyone for the posts in this thread. I read them all and learned a ton. I am clearly not worthy compared to all the mod-Jedis in this forum. But it’s fun to see the discussions and learn as I waited patiently for mine to show up.

If there’s one area that I feel like I could add to the discussion, it would be the sales/purchase process. I feel like I got it fairly right, in the end (but not before some very frustrating, typical car dealer bullshittery).

Here’s what I learned:

If things don't work out with my current job, I'll go be a car salesman, because I knew more about the TRD Pro after my research than almost everyone I talked to at dealerships. My favorite moment was when a dealer got back to me to say, "We're sorry, but Toyota doesn't offer the TRD Pro in the United States."

I’ll never again walk into or call a dealer and allow a random salesperson to be assigned to me. After dealing with a couple old school dinosaur tactic guys who use the old Laurel and Hardy routine with sales managers, I walked out and immediately emailed/chatted etc. with the online sales people. I told them exactly what I was looking for. I told them I intended to buy or order within two days and asked for their best prices. This worked like a charm. I was immediately contacted with 4-5 good offers by normal, straight-shooting people who I actually enjoyed talking to. The offers ranged from 39,700 - just under MSRP. The dealer I had walked out on had told me he'd be between invoice and MSRP, which I knew was fair for this car. But then they wouldn't budge from MSRP, in my opinion, were very sketchy about other things like delivery date.

I sent a very simple note that got immediate answers:

Hello, I plan to purchase or order a 2015 4Runner, TRD Pro, color: Inferno. I’ve contacted dealers in the area and plan to make a final decision by end of day tomorrow. I would be interested in hearing your best out-the-door price. I don’t mind waiting if I end up doing a factory order or waiting for one within your allocation.

Must have:
TRD Pro
Inferno color

Nice to have:
Slide out cargo tray

Thank you.

If anyone is looking in the Cincinnati area, contact Dave Henn at Kings Toyota - 513-683-5440. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with him. It was so smooth and painless that I actually was a little worried it would somehow fall through. But it didn’t and now I’m one of maybe 6 dudes driving one of these in the area.

Again, thanks for all the insights in this forum. I really appreciate it.

Heading out to who knows where in this...

Took mine for a little test drive today. WHAT A FRIGGIN BEAST!! They're going to finish prepping and LoJack-ing it and I should take it home tomorrow!!

Some dude in a 4th Gen almost hit a snowbank gawking at it.

Mine's got running boards from the factory in it. Never saw them on any pros here

Congratulations. I'll keep an eye out for you. I live in Anderson and work in Hyde Park. What part of town are you in?

TRD Pro - Spokane

Hello all, I am new to these forums and I am pumped to join. We recently had a new addition to our family and the carseat gave no room to the person in the front seat of our 2013 Toyota Tacom TRD Off Road so on Friday we traded it in and ordered an Inferno TRD Pro. We are so pumped. I live in Spokane, Washington, so now the waiting game begins. After looking over these forums, it looks like the waiting process is about two months, right? I don't have a VIN number yet.
