4runner TRD Pro

which do you think has a softer smoother feel when you're driving on beat up road surfaces with potholes and cracks? i live in DC and winter here sucks and the streets are jacked up. local dealership here won't let me test drive the TRD Pro. thanks for the info!

I would take the Pro for pot holes. I swapped out my 20's for 18's on my LE which helped on beat up roads but still prefer Pro in this conditions.

I traded out my LE. You lose AWD and that awesome touch handle unlock feature. Outside that, I miss nothing. More positives with Pro IMO.
On a side note, the new LE is ugly w/ all that bling on the front end. First run of 5th gen way better.

Air intake

Not sure if there has already been a post on this... found a TRD cold air intake under the 4runner TRD pro performance options. Called to confirm availability at dealer and the 800 # but both were dead ends. Call center said that it is "unavailable". Something to come......?

Hey can anyone tell me where to find what these option codes are? I'm looking at a few TRDP's right now and one of them has these listed on the fact sheet:

** Port Installed (SH, SD, A1, BD, U4, FM)
** Port Installed (PF)

Or if somebody just knows what they are and feels like sharing I'd appreciate it. Thanks,

I happened to think the "badging" was damn cool! The grille, wheels, and blacked-out badging made it look like it feasted on children's fear and small woodland creatures for fuel while snidely snickering at the mountains it traversed. And after hearing the limited release of 3400 internationally with warranty on all those parts, I couldn't say no!

Here's my rear emblem with the anthracite metallic from DYC.com. Not spot on with the front "TOYOTA," but close enough. I second what King says with toothpicks, as well as waiting a good amount of time after last coat. Longer it sits, easier to peel off. I did my racks in black too, but had to take off as I use the racks for surf and SUP. The plastidip was slightly peeling after about 4 times using the board straps. Will eventually either paint or possibly Bed liner.

Do you think the plastic dip will hold up to brush car washes?

Why not hit the front letters with the anthracite metallic? Just in case your CDO is as bad as mine...Looks great either way.

Just a flag that their photographer didn't have access to a 4runner or they didnt have a photog when they started to make the ad for the 4runner parts....lol...It's all labeled 4Runner.

I had it on my front and rear emblems on my LE for over a year and probably 20+ car washes without any issue. I don't think the dealer even realizes it just peels off because they were selling it with the dip still on.

Attached is my window sticker. It doesn't show any of the codes you have listed. Like DEERUNNER said they are probably the codes for the PRO parts themselves as they are port installed.

I agree, my dealer "build sheet" lists them as no charge option codes. Based on pictures of TRDPros arriving at the port, I'd guess shock/suspension package, front and rear, wheel/tires, alignment and shift knob. I'm not sure what the other codes might be. Possibly inventory coding for the return/takeoff parts?

Thanks guys. I asked the dealer today while I was signing for my Inferno and she wasn't able to find it in any of her books either. I'm guessing you guys are probably correct about it being the TRD parts.

My TRDP just got a VIN today and I went in and bought it. I paid MSRP plus a few options that were already installed (tube steps, sliding rear cargo tray, protection package, remote engine start). I didn't really want or need any of the options but it is supposedly past the point where they can remove anything. I was able to haggle for equity on my '13 LE at over KBB value, so I didn't get completely robbed. I have been chasing unicorns all over Texas and Oklahoma though and it didn't seem like anybody was going to have one long enough to get anything under MSRP at this point. I also ended up with a decent interest rate. So all in all I'm okay with the deal which I suppose is what matters.

I plan to have this vehicle for a really long time. I'm usually an every four years guy (or sooner) but buying cars is getting old and so am I! Can't wait to post some trip pictures. You guys have seen enough factory Infernos sitting in the driveway by now. So, hopefully I can get and share some decent pics of it on the trails.

Ok. I guess i did...lol. What's your point? I wasn't asking if I got a good deal. For me it was either pay MSRP or not buy one. I chose to pay MSRP.
