4runner TRD Pro

I love the pics guys...keep'em coming! BigWilly, where did you order the roof light bar from? Assuming this is separate from the gobi rack?

Gobi rack, lights, and cargo nets all came in at the same time! Great way to start the weekend.
Kid tested!

Its from Rigid Industries but I ordered it all through Gobi. Saved me the guess work. Came with mounts and wiring harness. Pretty easy install.
The rack only took about three weeks to get from the time I ordered it.

Thanks for the info....your truck is stunning!

For anyone that removed the front plate mount. What did you do with the holes?I would like to replace the plastic panel unless you all have a better solution.

I replaced the trim (not a fan of plugs). The only downside is that the replacement trim still has dimples to help dealerships identify where to drill.

Do you recall how much the trim ran you? Easy swap? Bumper removal required?

You should be able to get it for ~$160 + shipping.

53901-35250 | Toyota OEM Parts |*VALANCE PANEL for 2015 Toyota 4Runner

There were 13 clips holding the trim to the bumper cover. I was able to reach all without removing (or loosening) the bumper cover. Some (5 if I remember correctly) can be reached from underneath the vehicle, while the rest are accessed by popping the hood, and removing the trim piece that sits above the radiator.

Flashlight and small standard screwdriver were all I needed. 20-minute job. I'm 6'4" with ape arms, so didn't have any issues with reaching the clips. Results for others may vary.

FWIW, I will have an undrilled lower valence up for sale within the month, along with the upper grille and the upper a TOYOTA badged valence. Basically everything one would need to transform the front of their T4R to look like a pro.

Got a cargo basket for the TRD PRO.

New HeadUnit Question

If you're like me the stock system in the TRD Pro is absolutely terrible, I installed FOCALs throughout and have 2 10" JL subs running from a 5 channel amp.. unfortunately the stock headunit is so bad that it still sounds distorted so I'm having the Pioneer AVIC 8100NEX put in to complete the system...

I'm a little worried about the dash kit, has anyone done this yet? I've searched and all I find is other gen installs.. haven't seen anyone do this on a 5th gen, never mind a TRD...

Hey Tonka TRD, you don't happen to live out in the Loudoun area do you? I saw a new Black TRDP yesterday on my way home on Rt7, which is the first one I have seen out on the roads in that area. This one was on Rt 7 headed towards Leesburg and I was headed toward Winchester in my Inferno. Just curious is all.

On another note, I hate that rail color so I am also interested to see what your outcome is with the wrap on them when it's finished. Welcome to the site.

Close to it, could have been me... Ive been out of town since I posted this so the 3M is still in the box... I'll post a pic once I've finished... been audio focused at the moment, then I'll worry about the rails and blacking out the rear chrome logo

Why not use a tuner(jl clean sweep etc) instead of replacing the head unit?

extra seat material

Does anyone else have a piece of like suede material attached to the side of the drivers seat in between the seat and center console?

I actually started a thread with the same issue. (http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-g...ement-dash-kit-trd-reference-black-paint.html)

And I'm looking at a similar head unit (AVH-4100NEX). Please message me if you find a solution! And I will do the same.

With all of the color options I'm seeing for 2016, I'm starting to think I jumped the gun! Jealous of the guys with the pre-orders! Enjoy them! :)

Yep, I have that in mine. No idea what it's for. Maybe it's supposed to help prevent dropped things from sliding under the seat? If so, it doesn't seem to work very well for me.

Hit up Bridgeport today! First offroad experience with the Trd pro. Still getting used to her. And first trail carnage, doh!
