4runner TRD Pro

On most vin decoders, including my insurance agent's, mine pulls up as an SR5. I imagine that's why they have it listed that way.

Agreed. Both of our Limited show up as SR5/TRAIL/LIM on the insurance card.
The TRD Pro is just a special edition.. My old T4R Urban Runner should up as a SPORT on insurance card. (essentially just a sport with extra fluff).

HaHa...no to Jersey Shore, No Tapout muscle shirts or white shades...just not enough time to make mods on a new vehicle right off the lot. Wanted as much stock capability as I could get. The quicksand looks great in person I think, definitely a military vibe though. Let the barrage begin.

I am planning to put a Gobi or Baja roof rack on at some point soon to carry boats and gear. Maybe some rock sliders next. Bumpers and winches likely further down the road.

I also wanted as much stock capability w/o big mods, liked the way the Pros look and another thing is the resale will be much better than a modified 4runner.

Dealer here in Indiana selling 2016 Pros for 2000.00 under msrp. Had two on lot last week. A Super White and Quicksand

When : Sunday October 4th 2015
Where : Meet at Buc-ee's Texas City . 6201 Gulf Fwy, Texas City 77591

**Will be leaving from that location at 11:15 SHARP to convoy down. If you need supplies , please arrive before hand. Will be leaving that location at 11:15 , so if you cant make it or will be late , just meet us on the sand**

CB Channel 8

Once on the sand , lets get a group photo of all that could make it, then enjoy our time on the beach. Feel free to break off and do your own thing. Some will have lunch on the beach and some will just hang and ride around.

No need to air down , but you may need 4WD in some areas.

Keep in mind that riding on the dunes is illegal, and if you're caught riding on the dunes you are subject to arrest or fine . Depending on the time of year and amount of people on the beach determines enforcement of this law. If you decide to ride on the dunes, that is done so on your terms!

I'm all over this and the family and I are planning on coming down. I do not have a CB so feel free to PM me and we can trade numbers so that we can meet up.

I have a good buddy and wheeling friend with a jeep. Is this a "Toyota only" club thing or can I invite him without TOO much fear of harassment (a little bit of harassment is welcomed and encouraged).

No, actually its just north of Indianapolis In. ED Martin Toyota in Anderson In. Always seem to have fair pricing and not out to take advantage of their customers. Could also be that we are just in a different region of the country.

Phase one of Complete. Custom 6" lift by RMS Off-road, kept TRD billies on all 4 corners. 285/75/17 Nittos on stock 7" TRD rims Borla cat back. Rides great, no loaded springs. Phase 2 in a few weeks - upper control arms and modified TRD skid plate.

The quicksand one from Ed Martin is sitting in my driveway :) Saw it posted the day it came off the truck and I was in indy that day, and ran over there.

How'd you do that? I'm looking for the same thing. Want to end up in the same tire and size and would like to keep the billies as well. I'm only wanting about 3" of lift though.
Can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks! Truck looks sweet!

Did he do that with drop brackets?

I'm surprised he would even do that lift at all, even with extensive counseling as it is not correct for ball joint and CV angles, yada, yada, yada...

Sometimes, a difficult guy to deal with!

It's based off a FJ drop kit, I had it adjusted down so it's about 5 " even with the 75 ratios. rides awesome but it's not a DIY. I have to take it in after a couple of weeks. If you want I can ask if they recommend a shop by you. You can probably get these tires in there with an icon or toytec leveling kit but you basically push down on your front suspension and load up you coils. With this the front rods maintain the factory angle. You will also probably meet to trim at 3".

These guys where completely professional and use only top shelf. The cv angles are exactly the same as stock and so is the ride minus the bit of M/T tire upgrade. The work is warranted as long as I own the truck.
