4runner TRD Pro

Yeah. I'm just curious whether the deal fell through, as I am further down in the list to get one from them, but would trade up since this one has fewer "installed accessories" that I'm just going to throw away later anyway.

Has anyone placed an order for a 2017 TRDP yet? Like actually put down a deposit and have received some kind of ETA?

Not that I'm aware. The dealer told me last week ordering probably won't open up until late nov/ early dec with earliest delivery on a lot anywhere in january 2017. Several others who work at Toyota dealers on this forum have said the same thing... At first, I was hesitant to believe Toyota would shift production to coincide with the calender year but this is apparently their plan. I'm curious to see if the 2017 4runner will only last 8 months or if they'll stay with the new schedule and debut the 2018 in January 2018 as well... It would be a departure for Toyota to do this.. especially since their trucks debut at the Chicago Autoshow typically in the late winter/ early spring... that's 9 months of keeping people waiting but now that I think of it, maybe that's the point...

2017 Tacoma TRD Pro's are being sold right now though, so maybe it's an import/ logisitical thing... since Tacoma's are built in NA not Japan but we're debuted at the same Chicago autoshow

Just got mine back from the dealer. New left and right shocks installed per TSB. And a wheel alignment. Probably won't know much until it starts getting cold out again. Also picked up some Michigan magnets. Go BLUE!

Nothing makes losing to Ohio State feel better than some wheeling in your new TRDPro!

Go Bucks!*

(*you guys will probably win this year.... finally.... maybe not... i hope)

went by the dealer today, my VW is a part of the buyback due in, probably, November. Shooting for a Magnetic Gray Pro if they can get one. If not I may wait and see how Cement looks in the flesh. Quoted price is 41,667 (no sales tax here). Comes with cargo tray and rubber floor mats. Can't wait for one to come in

I dont think you can order any mag gray anymore. They are rolling 2017 colors which they discontinued MGM.

That is half the reason i requested all packing material be left in my truck, so there is zero question as to it's origin. Also in the highly unlikely scenario I go to sell it, little things like this can help put it over another vehicle on the market.

Now if toyota would do build certificates like SVT did for my Lightning, car nerd overload.

I too, am a self professed car nerd as well. But that piece of paper, along with whatever else is laying around in it, is not going to mean squat when you trade or sell it ( should someone question what it is). The monroney sticker ; outlying what exactly the vehicle was built as and how it was delivered would be a much more definitive way to prove what you have. Although it is a neat piece of memorabilia to have for your ride!

TRDP Owners,

Have any of you gotten Toyota to do a replacement without the sound being apparent? When I drive over speed bumps on a fresh drive i hear the sounds from time to time and definitely heard it when i was doing trips to Lake Tahoe

I'm at 23K and nearing the 36K warranty at a quick rate!

Any TRDP'ers opt in for Gamester's warranty? Ive been flirting with it, but keep going back to the fact that i bought a Toyota so i wouldn't have to mess with extra warranties and what not.

Looking foward to hearing a response to the two above questions.

Wife has racked up several miles on her '14 sportwagen, she wanted to take the buyback and move on to the Pro. inferno, sand, cement is the order of her color choices, we will purchase before the buyback is executed, maybe next week :noidea: trying to make a deal on an inferno now.

the question about ordering the '17's, i talked with my family sales guy and they just put order in for cement pro, customer put $500 down and leased a trail until Pro comes in, estimated delivery is late January. (he forwarded the order sheet and email to regional sales rep.) He wanted me to make the same move, but the new colors are not high on wife's list so we are holding off.

There's a quicksand two hours away... I will go get it Saturday if still there

Why not put down a deposit to make sure it is still there on Saturday?
I have to call back and find out if they'll take one over the phone. Quicksand isn't my first choice, I'm trying to make sure I'll like it since I can't see it in person first

Don't worry. You'll like it. My wife doesn't like much besides black, gray, and white. She loved the one we saw last weekend at the Leadville 100. The color is REALLY nice. Even better in person and I have an MGM incoming, so I'm not justifying my purchase either.

Got a quote for a new TRD with no options for -500 under MSRP of 42,750. Does this sound like a good deal? I know their is a what did you pay for thread, but I thought I would get better response here.

One dealer said it would be a 2017 but conversation ended there, for now

Curious...what did they tell you MSRP was?

Cement looks good in person. Just saw this Tacoma today.
