I was just told 8-16 weeks for delivery... dealership couldn't guarantee one would be allocated to me even with a deposit. I'm currently 4th on the list... does this sound right???

Try a different dealership. I had one here tell me that it's impossible to get any more allocation. Another said 4 months min but wouldn't guarantee. Finally the third I worked with said 2-3 months and they're confident they can get it. A week after I put down my deposit they confirmed one for delivery in about 1.5-2 months.

Depends on the dealer.. Some will be upfront and some will try to drag you along.

Search for all the big dealers in the surrounding area.

Must be different down there. Big dealers said no way here, smallest one in the area secured one after a week.

I did a search about front license plates and I still have a question about front plate mounting for a TRD PRO?

I want to tell the dealer to not drill for a front plate.

So what is my best option to mount front license plate when its required by my state?

Dealer just emailed and said my pro is in the production line. He doesn't have a complete date yet.

When you guys got confirmation your truck was in production how long did it take to shop?

I have looked at many photos of TRD's. That said, it appears that Toyota makes the lower part of the Pro bumper with or without a license plate mount. I am sure you should be able to request the Pro bumper with plate mount through your dealer. Hope that helps. Maybe one of the Toyota employees can chime in on this.(I too live in a front plate required state and will need to do the same) Check out the two photos on this page above...one has no license plate mount and the other does.

Cement seems to be the most popular color choice. Seems like every one is ordering that color. If Toyota caps the number of TRD pros, do they also cap the colors too? Will they stop doing cement at some point and only white and red?

It's applied at the dealership, they screw it in . Nothing more special than that

After reading the import and custom rules for Oman, it looks like I may back out of my deposit. That being said, anyone in CA want to jump onto my TRD right behind me let me know and we'll try to coordinate. It is a Cement Gray coming to Sunnyvale Toyota in San Jose around the middle of February.
