4runner TRD Pro

Got the Canvasback cargo liners installed, and removed the logo patch. Really nice stuff.

Well, just talked to my dealer. My truck was built (born) on 2-1-17. Was loaded on the ship 2-4-17 with an estimated port arrival date of 3-6-17. Somebody slap me, I'm starting to get giddy!

Nice! Mine hits the dealer tomorrow in Arlington TX... then shipping to California... hopefully will be here by Monday next week. Just squared up all the paperwork.

I was honestly worried they would mess with me when I got final numbers but nope - dealer was honest and SUPER easy to work with so far. I'll see once I finally have my vehicle, but MSRP, all the options I wanted, and he handled shipping etc...

Also had zero issue with me using a credit union instead of Toyota Financing... so far, so good! GIDDY TOO!

End up getting a good rate somewhere?

How long ago did you place your order?

Those of you who are receiving your TRD Pro's, how accurate was the dealer in estimating your wait time?

I placed my order back in Nov with a diff dealer. They didn't get a white - only cement in their first allocation so I looked elsewhere. I have a buddy who is a car broker. I tasked him with finding me one at MSRP and within a day he gave me the name and number of a GM in a Texas dealership. Have no clue how he found him... but that was about 5 weeks ago. I should have my rig next week!

Today I decided I wanted a TRD Pro Cement before June/July timeframe that my local dealer told me. I looked at all the dealers in a 800mi radius, and started at the top to text/call and inquire about any available 4runners.

The first one texted back saying they had one available. I was boarding a flight. I put a deposit down through texts, saw pics, got VIN, and am scheduled to take delivery this Saturday.

Today was a good day.

Holy **** you lucky bastard

Placed a deposit on November 5th and I was told roughly 3 months. Got a call on February 7th and was told that the Pro was in Portland and it would be 3 more weeks (which would be roughly today). Still no call.

just my luck..

I found a few within my area but when i get the reply.. the pro has been sold..

is placing the order the only way to go now?

I'm finding a lot of dealers are leaving the TRD Pro up on their site as a way of generating leads. They all do the same thing, "How about a Limited/Trail/TRD Off-Road instead? We can even install the TRD Pro rims and a nice lift for you for just a few thousand dollars! Oh you're only interested in the TRD Pro? Well we can place an order for you, but it will be [several thousand dollars] above MSRP"

Just keep calling around as far out as you are willing to travel to pick it up. Someone will either have one that's not spoken for or have one that someone backed out of (that's how I got mine earlier than expected).
