4runner TRD Pro

i've seen dealers advertising way over msrp but who is seriously paying that? you have to be a special kind of stupid to buy a car at +msrp lol

Theres no shortage of stupid, especially with those who have money. These are the same people paying close to or over MSRP for used TRDP's with 10k+ miles. When you get the itch you scratch I guess...

just left my dealer and received some interesting news. i placed my deposit on feb 11th and was told i was the next cement allocation, with a white one ahead of me. last week they told me they were under the impression it would be built end of march. fast forward to today, another order they had is on the boat and scheduled to arrive in portland march 15th.....and its actually mine! the guy that ordered it decided he wanted the sliding rear cargo tray and was willing to move back and take my order so he could add that option. i hope to get some sleep between now and when it arrives!!!! cant believe i lucked into this and don't have to wait as long as i was planning on!

Just picked one up for my wife. Msrp was 44,300. Had remote start, mats, and roof rack which made msrp higher. I didn't even know you could get factory pro remote start. Got it for

1,000 under msrp. Was surprised my local dealer got one unclaimed. Some guy tried to buy it as i was negotiating but i told his salesman it already sold to me when he asked my salesman for the key lol. Funny thing is that guy ended up buying an sr5 for only 4k less than me. My 4 runner was next to his when he drove off after buying it and his sales guy told me that guy was really pissed i got it before him. I guess im just surprised he bought one after not getting a trd.

Do the 17's have an eco button? I don't think there is an eco on my 16. Anyone know?

Hi there...

First post here, but I have been lurking for quite a while here.

I'm looking at purchasing a Cement TRDPro.

Was wondering if anybody from Northern California or even Southern California can point me to the correct dealerships who are only asking MSRP or very very close to MSRP.

Would really appreciate the help!

Thanks!

They will be gone in seconds if they aren't already sold on the west coast. I would suggest looking out of state and setting up alerts on cars.com and autotrader.com. You got to be quick. I called on two new listings freshly listed and someone beat me to both of them. Seems like they are a lot cheaper on east coast. I got both of mine for 1,000 under msrp on each. Hope that helps.

Looking forward to join the 4Runner family! Put down a deposit mid February for a Cement allocation that hit port 3/6. Very anxious and hoping to receive by the end of the month!

Ordered from a dealership in the bay area at MSRP, and will drive it down to Pasadena (and spend a few days driving on the way). Wasn't trying for any dealers in Southern California as I didn't want the slide-out cargo tray.

Production Date: 02/15/2017
Vessel Departure: 02/18/2017
Vessel Arrival: 03/06/2017
Plant / Port Process : 03/16/2017

Finally...

I placed an order back in December for a 2017 TRDP and as of late, my dealer was still unable to get one. I was able to locate one myself about 1.5 hours from my residence. Long story short, I wasn't leaving the dealer without it. Its gorgeous!!!

I am not at all referring to Tank40 but just remember most people have big house payments and car payments so don't be fooled by the average American who appears wealthy.

People are financing cars now for 7 years with big payments and its actually preventing them from building wealth.

Not trying to be negative but I have coworkers who have huge car and house payments and they don't even save for retirement.

Its lifestyle creep.

Trd pro's will hold value. Time will tell how much value but im betting that the trd pro will dereciate the least and that's why i traded in my wife's crappy jeep that for it. And i got both trd's under msrp.

Why buy another type of new car that will lose 50 to 60 percent of it's value in a few years. Smart money wouldn't!
