4runner TRD Pro

Just so you know, I didn't buy this vehicle based on resale value. Buying a vehicle based on resale is another gamble altogether. So I didn't buy this vehicle for it's resale value. In fact I could care less about it because I plan on keeping this thing for a very long time. Slowly upgrading it as the years tick by. I am so happy I have saved myself thousands for those upgrades versus buying a PRO from the start. YMMV.:spy:

^this. Hahaha. You just spent 2 pages of this thread talking about depreciation of these trucks.

Educate yourself and read about how much time and engineering went into dialing in the spring rate and valving on the TRDP suspension. Thats a bizarre upgrade for "just an appearance package."

Wondering if I'm crazy, right/wrong, or if it's just an allusion due to the TRD black accents, but do you feel that the Barcelona on the TRD Pro "pops" a little more than on another trim? I was dead set on Cement and went with it, but the more I see the Barcelona's, I wonder what if I had... I just also wonder if they got a little mix from the Lexus side of the house.

You are correct it does pop the most imo. I liked the cement a lot though!

That's the exact reason I changed my order from cement to barcelona red. The front end seems to blend better imo. Plus the black and red is an excellent color combo. Passed on several white just because I can't look at the front end and think storm trooper. Mine processes tomorrow and should have it soon after, unless they take a week to transport it 10miles

Well my TRDP just showed up on the dealers website! Build date is 3.14.... Guess Ill go have some pie today to celebrate the build!

All I want is some heavy snow pack the snowboards and to take the TRDP out. They've been saying March is the best month for snow here in the Rockies, but I'm still here staring at the 82 degrees that is forecasted for next Sunday...

I didn't notice where it can be turned off, but I didn't look for it in the manual. I like the feature. The light comes on to let you know that you are being economical with your fuel and it shows a range on the display. You can see when you are/are not in the range for the light to come on. It doesn't bother me, but I can see where the light coming on and off could bother some. For instance, I really like the rear windshield wiper feature. I haven't had a vehicle with that before. But when it is on intermittent, it catches my eye in the rear-view mirror. I'm adjusting, before long I'm sure I won't even notice it!

I loved my 15' SW, but I get it if Troopers are beneath you, more of a Royal Imperial type of guy lol. But in all seriousness, the Barcelona and black make a great combo especially when accented with the center caps, springs and stitching. All comes together nicely. I forget the color code for Lexus since last year, but it is brighter and shows more flake than the Barcelona. I seriously think that there is some of that in the TRD Pro Barcelona. Then again, come to think of it, I can't really recall seeing a 17' Barca in another trim yet. Just comparing to previous years.

Though in snow and ice, gotta say I love it. And don't get me wrong, I've owned 4Runners for 28 years and will only buy that for a truck and I'd take the storm trooper over any other model of 4Runner if I only had that as my choice for a trdp. The Barcelona red will look good next to my red 94

out of curiosity are you guys leasing them or buying them with what kind of money down and what are your payments wise, if you dont mind me asking.

Lease quote before i signed with really good credit was 636 per month for 3 years nothing down. Financed it for 72 months with 0 down for 697 something per month. 2.9 interest. Purchase price for lease or buy was 1,000 under msrp = 43,333 with the remote start and other things it came with. Residual value is 66 percent i think. Not worth leasing, especially with crazy resale value :)

For you guys who have one in snow, how are the nitto tires in it? I spend a lot of time in the cascades snowshoeing etc. Up here we either are required to carry chains or have traction tires. I'm pretty sure the nittos aren't snow rated (snowflake on tire). Would one of you guys look at the side of your tire to see if it does? Just wondering if I need to fork over another 1k for bfgs

Ok, so I went and got the manual out and page 86 and 87 discuss how to turn off the eco drive indicator light. I learned something in the process, so thanks. I hadn't paid any attention to the disp button on the steering wheel and I see one of the displays shows you average miles per gallon, amongst other things. Hope that helps.
