4runner TRD Pro

Did anyone elses 2017 pro come with factory remote start? My wifes did. I don't think it's on toyotas website when you build one? My 16 pro doesn't have it and i had to add one later. Anyone know?

Mine has it. Two things I don't like about it are...

1. It doesn't automatically adjust the AC or Heater based on outside conditions. You must set that before leaving the vehicle.

2. When you unlock the Truck it turns off so you then have to start it when you get in.

I'm backing out of my deposit on a cement @ MSRP at a dealership in NV. The salesman I was working with was great and I'm next in line so if you want my spot PM me and I'll get you in contact.

That sucks for anyone waiting with a deposit after you. Especially for the guy next after you, and I'm pretty sure that's me... but you knew this already so why offer up your spot??

Love the look with the red tow hooks and letters on the skid plate. Did you add those yourself? Thanks

Mine has it too and I have the same complaints. Especially the having to shut it off to get in. From what I have found no one has found a work around for this.

Side note, I drive the 94 4Runner to work today. Missed the new truck the whole commute. I'd probably sell it but it's a really solid truck and we need it for the kids to take skiing on mt. Hood. There's no way they are driving the trdp, especially in snow.

Oh I'll take it out in the snow. That's one of the big reasons I got it. Camping and snowshoeing. But the 16yo, sorry, they can drive the 94'.

Why don't you take him up on his offer? Seems like he's just helping out fellow forum members.

I wouldn't bother walking into the dealer until you order one. Do everything via email/text/phone. You walk into that dealership, that dealer will give you the first run around to another 4Runner and then try and pull your leg. It is better to have options.

If it's a big a$$ super store that gets more than one allocation a year you may be able to, but your best bet is starting to reach out to every dealer you are willing to travel to to get one. You may luck out and find a dealer that has an allocation with no buyer, or may at least end up on their radar for when someone backs out of an order (that's how I got mine months earlier than expected).

Lately there have been guys on here offering up their allocations. Jump on them if you get the chance!:second:

You haven't mentioned where you are and how far you are willing to go, but Toyota of Olympia in Washington is still showing on cars.com a white trdpro today. If you want white, they might be an option. This is day 3 for the listing.

TRDpro versus TRD Offroad Premium

OK, I almost am to the point of ordering and had convinced myself to to get the ORP due to KDSS.

I get the differences in looks, as well as coils and shocks, but suspension-wise, can someone tell me is there a practical disadvantage of the ride or handling of the TRDpro versus the KDSS equipped 4runners IF a person is mostly going to do hwy driving? If I were in my 20s it wouldn't be a question - I have owned 6 Toyota 4x4s in the past. But HWY ride and handling as a daily driver mean a bit more to me now. LOVE the looks of the TRDpro.

I can't find any TRPro without the cargo slider which I definitely don't want. Can these be converted to be like the ones without this option?
