4runner TRD Pro

In case anyone wondered i found 3 differences between a 16 and 17 so far. The center console near the shifter has a black design on the 17 and the 16 is all black. Trd badge on the back of the 17 and the 16 doesn't have that badge. The 17 has trd in both front seat headrests and the 16's don't. The factory remote start is annoying since the 4runner shuts of when you open the door. Putting in a non factory remote start works out better imo. Trunk cover mats on either the sliding cargo tray or non cargo tray both don't seem to fit right and fall out of place.

Just wondering, if any of you got a case for all your manuals? On the window sticker it does say "preferred owners portfolio" but I got my documents/manuals in a Manila folder :confused:

I received the black portfolio case that holds all of the manuals, but it didn't come in the car. Right before I drove away the salesman ran inside and grabbed one from a store room and put all the manuals into it. Call the dealer and ask them for one, they should have it.:phone:

Thanks for the info, I thought something was off, 2 of my other buddies who got trd pros told me that was the norm and they didn't provide it.

You haven't mentioned where you are and how far you are willing to go, but Toyota of Olympia in Washington is still showing on cars.com a white trdpro today. If you want white, they might be an option. This is day 3 for the listing.

yeah im looking for a cement one, im from NJ. i am willing to travel but dont wanna go 3000 miles away if thats what mean.

A lot of the trd's on cars.com are orders and are aready sold before they even hit cars.com

Yeah, that's true. My order that I'd been waiting on for 3 months showed up on cars.com a couple of days before it made it to the dealership. called my dealer and he still hadn't received it or heard that it was even on the way. point being, it was already sold to me but still got listed on cars.com

Thanks! That means I may have one of these soon as I think I found one - the sliding cargo tray was throwing me off as I have to haul cabinets and guitars.

FWIW so far the sliding tray has been really useful.. bigger stuff like the cabinets are much easier to load with the tray slid out.. I could see where the extra bit of height you gain from not having it may be useful though.

I had mine on order (well a deposit anyway) for 6 months, I saw the one above on cars.com and asked if it was taken, they said no so I put a deposit down over the phone. While speaking with my local dealer, he told me a lot of them are ordered under fake names so the dealer can generate traffic to their lot.

Thanks - glad to hear that they actually made some TRDpro without it. I definitely don't want it. Out of every single one I have found zero don't have it.

The rear cargo slide can be removed. Just search for it on this forum. Been done several times. You'll easily be able to sell the slider on here too.

Yes, I know that. But mine was on there one day. This one is still on there, which leads me to believe they may not have a buyer. Just passing it on for what it's worth. Not saying it is truly available.

Installed hidden bar, replaced fog bulbs with phillips and replaced halogen with hid's and ripping out remote start.

Car gets dropped off next week for full front clear bra and tint.

Upgraded the audio today : added the focals and rockford fosgate 8" sub. All I can say is wow, that was much needed.

did you run an an amp for the focals?

would you mind providing model/part numbers for everything...sounds like a nice setup

This may or may not be helpful. I went with 30% ceramic tint up front and it matches the factory tint very well. My tint shop also said they can't tint the rears because the factory tint is "embedded into the glass via ink within the glass layers" (I have no idea if that's true or not). All they could do was tint over the existing tint, but would not offer any guarantees on adhesion, color, or visibility, which are things they normally cover.

I had mine done with 18% SunTek CXP on the front doors and the windshield, back doors, cargo area, and back window done with 70% CXP. The match is great and they had no issues tinting the OEM "privacy glass."

No need for an AMP. Sounds great and I still haven't done the rear door speakers. It was also very friendly on my wallet compared to some of the other audio upgrades I've read on here. The Focals are specifically trimmed for the 4Runner.

FOCAL IS 690TOY
Rockford Fosgate PS-8

You can find the PS-8 on Amazon for cheaaap but I'd suggest a warranty.
