Brochure says 87 octane, I put 91 just in case though. Probably wasting money but its for my own piece of mind

I use 87. I've always used 87 in all of my 4Runners. Toyota designs their engines to run on pretty much the crappiest gas you can put in them. Watch videos of guys out driving in 3rd world countries. 9x outta 10 they are in a Toyota truck. Same engines as ours minus half the emission junk. I read about this years ago and basically it's your money if you wanna buy premium, but it's not doing much for you.

Yeah I was told regular gas, but sometimes out here I see the regular rated at 85. I think I'll upgrade to the super @ 87-89 just to be safe but save some money from 91+.

This issue has been documented this year, some folks cited this issue with the earliest TRDPs that hit the lot. Most have said replacing it has fixed the issue.
I asked my salesman to take a look at my car before I drove it 800 miles home. So far 1200 miles on the odometer and no issues yet.

I just picked up my Super White TRD Pro from Olathe Toyota. They told me they would be getting three total for the year including the one I just picked up. They said they had two Cement TRD Pros sold and four additional people on the waiting list. They would like to find some more to offer for sale.
Maybe the web sales guy thinks posting them on the web will make them magically appear on a truck in their parking lot.

There is no advantage to running premium. In most cases when the fuel strategy is programmed for 87 it will actually run worse on 91.

After calling 100+ dealerships, I've finally found a TRD Pro Cement! Deposit is in and vehicle is on it's way to the dealership in 2 weeks. The previous buyer backed out today after waiting months for it. Flying out from SFO to AZ to pickup!

Yes, you really did! I have found several red and white ones available, but cement is nearly impossible to find. I had to fight the urge to punch my computer screen when you stumbled across one on the lot. Haha

Awesome! I visited them in December and was told I'd be 4th in line. Luckily, I kept contacting other dealerships and struck gold with Antioch Toyota because of someone backing out as well [emoji1417]
