4runner TRD Pro

heated seats

I have front heated seats in my Cement TRD pro - and No sliding cargo tray. Are heated seats rare on the Pro or is it standard?

I placed my deposit down in September of last year for mine and got it in March. I think as the year goes you will see more and more become available because there are a lot of people who have deposits at multiple dealerships and will be backing out of multiple pro"s. Look at all the posts of "I put a deposit down at 4+ dealerships ". This can also create a false demand keeping the prices up on them. If 50 people put deposits down at 4 places, it looks like 200 people want 1 when it's only 50. It all depends on where you are and how many the dealerships around you get throughout the year as to how long it will be to get 1.

During my search process, the dealerships that wanted to take my deposit said it was non-refundable unless they were not able to deliver the vehicle. How is it that people are putting deposits at so many dealerships?

Got to pick mine up this morning. Ordered first week of January and brought it home today. Said goodbye to my Rubicon, but that's ok.

Only had 1 mile on it when I got in.

I totally agree. I was a little skeptical when my salesman said he wanted a non-refundable deposit, but I understood cause I remember seeing where people put down deposits all over. He guaranteed that I would get one and I took it as, if I for sure don't get it, then I'll get a discount on a 2018 which I originally planned anyway. I do think the demand is there, but it's not THAT high.

The demand is there, don't get me wrong. If it wasn't Toyota wouldn't offer them. I really like mine too and luckily I wasn't in a hurry to get mine as I was waiting for the Volkswagen tdi buy back. Just by luck my pro came in 4 days before I turned in my tdi Jetta cup edition (another limited production vehicle). I did have multiple dealerships that I had talked to call me with cement pro's that people had backed out of. I only put a deposit down at the only dealership that wasn't charging over msrp in my area. In addition I wanted white not cement which is the hot color this year. I like the cement but I couldn't get myself to buy one as I think the color will become dated rather quickly. I plan on keeping this vehicle for a long time and didn't want that.

Yeah I agree that the demand is there, but I was going off your previous comment that putting multiple deposits down creates an even higher demand that's false. It allows some dealerships to get away with that 5-10k mark up

Sorry typing on a phone or iPad is not a strong point for me especially when I am trying to do it quickly. Some things may get left out. Yes I agree, the demand isn't as high as it appears to be. The demand is high like you said but it isn't THAT high because of people putting down multiple deposits.

Congratulations on your new Pro. Looks amazing! I love my Super White Pro.

Some dealerships will take a refundable deposit down, others will not. It all depends on the dealership. When I put my deposit down, the dealership said it was refundable.

Rails Wrap

So got a quote today to have the rails wrapped in matte black for $270. That includes taking the rails off to wrap them and will actually wrap it into the channel and underneath the end caps. Thoughts? Seems like a lot but would look so good.

Dealer is loading up the TRDP and driving it from Plainview, TX to Fort Worth tomorrow. If anyone in the DFW area is looking for a Cement with remote start PM me. I just got an email that my original order (placed Feb 3rd) will be arriving around the 3rd week of June.

I got mine powder coated for $200. Took it off myself and took it to the shop in ballard. seattlepowdercoat.com

I had mine powder coated satin black for $80. I pulled them off the truck (not hard and I did it in a parking garage with minimal tools). $80 included sandblasting, etching a little line on the inside of the rail to indicate recommended spot for cross bars, and then the powder coating.

Came out great! Put them on last night and I'll take some pics when it stops raining.
