they stop doing the display above the radio a few years ago. I believe all models now only get a clock above the radio. I wish they kept the display there, it was a cool feature.

I recently purchased a used TRD Pro Cement Tacoma to drive before my TRD Pro 4Runner came in that I ordered back in December. It arrived last week so I sold the Tacoma back to the dealer and purchased the new 4Runner.
After a few days, I have a couple of things to report. Off Road is of course spectacular. But I have a clunking that is located under the seat or pannels of the rear left passenger compartment. I took it to the dealer, they said they fixed it, that it was spare tire chains. It was not spare tire chains and it's still there. It's not regular, but it seems to be more active when going up a bumpy hill. It sounds like metal bumping the frame.
Anyone else report anything similar?
Also, it doesn't have the nice LED dash the Tacoma has. Two features I'll miss in particular are the speed limit indicator and the roll/pitch indicators. The compass in the mirror was nice to have too, but that's gone also.
I'm left feeling a little less than excited about the truck at this point. Hoping the dealer will make it right.

Others had issues with the suspension making the clunk. Check the position of the reservoir near the frame. It may just need to be adjusted down a bit. One of mine sits higher than the other, but not enough to contact the frame.

If this is the same issue that has been described on here before, it is likely something to do with your shocks. There's lots of comments on that issue in this thread, and often the dealer have replaced the shocks. I'd start investigating there.

My clunking came from rear left. Not sure if same issue but it was resolved by shaving a little from the top.

I had the same issue. Dealer was able to reproduce the clunk, confirmed it was the reservoir striking the inner wheel well. They trimmed a few mm off the inner wheel well & clunk is gone. After the trim......

I have had them on all of my cars. I surf a lot and if in a rush I can jump in the car with wet shorts no problem. Not to mention it keeps the seats from being super hot in the summer.

Yeah, takes 20 min or so. I actually had them install them the other day because they are close to my house. I have done them in the past and not hard at all. They will take a couple of weeks because they are made to order.

Yesterday was a sad day. Moving on from the orange monster into a Land Cruiser. I've always wanted to get one, but to find a used one in like new shape (No way I could afford 80k new!) was about the same is catching and riding a unicorn.
She will treat someone else well and she pretty much paid me to drive her for 2 years! I got 2k less then I paid for it brand new
Got to love that Toyota resale value!
If anyone is looking for a good used one (minus one nitto tire that is out of round) it will show up for sale outside St. Louis!

Damn. How many miles were on it when you traded it in? I just picked up a new trd pro in St. Louis yesterday. Wish I could have bought that bumper off of you somehow.

Hey guys, first post, and got the call today that my TRD Pro is in! Super excited, but I can't get it until Monday because I am flying out 7am to Tampa.
Anyways, I wanted to post because I actually have another one I reserved coming mid to late June that I have a $500 deposit down on. I am going to cancel it, but figured since it takes a bit to get here I would see if anyone wanted to swoop in and work with the salesman/dealship and take it.
I ordered a white one with second choice as cement gray. I do not know which color is coming yet, the vehicle will be coming to a dealship in TN.
I don't know, if this is not the right place to post, I apologize! Just casting out there.

Do the right thing and just cancel it. Let your dealer give it to the next person waiting in line before you try to "give it up" here.

It's a 14 with just at 70k miles, but the interior and exterior are near mint. The guy that had it leases his from that dealership. Think that was his 3rd LC.
