hey guys new member here and have been lurking watching this thread intermittently. was over at tacomaworld (not very active) until i sold my taco and ordered a white trdp on March 15. was told 75-90 days to wait. have gotten really sketchy/minimal feedback from dealership ("i gotta ask my manager" stuff). was told they would have an update at day 60...nothing. have called numerous times to original associate and moved on to manager who didn't even know my date of order. he said if nothing in 30 more days to call. is this typical or am i getting uncommon results. my deposit was 3/15 and called back to confirm order was placed the next day. then manager says in above mentioned conversation that they can only order at certain times, and gave no indication of when mine was ordered. thanks for any help.
You should read this thread more thoroughly if you intend on getting a TRDP. Allocations are getting scarce and there is no guarantee your dealer can even order one. If you are not getting the answers you want from your dealership, you should let them know, get your deposit back and start searching far and wide.

Sounds like you're getting scammed. I would try to get the deposit back and find another dealership with an unclaimed allocation. If you haven't gotten a confirmation that the order was placed, then you are probably out of luck with them. It sucks, but these sleazy dealers love to hold on to your deposit, and then try to sell you something else when they can't get a TRDP allocation.

Well if anyone is in the market for a used Inferno, the dealership I traded mine off to finally posted it on their website. Funny that 25k miles only knocks 5 dollars off of msrp

thank you guys for your help. just opened up thread this am to see there wont be a 2018 so i guess theres that. big dealership with what i figured was plenty of allocation pull, although saw in this thread where two trdp were hanging out on a lot in west virginia. its actually where i bought my taco and i thought i would be a repeat customer.

I got 20% off with the group buy. The cost depends on if you get full or half piping and if you add graphics. I chose to go full piping to match the cement and I had them add the TRD logo (asked to remove "Toyota Racing Dev" which was to be above the TRD so that it just said TRD). I think with the group buy discount with options I paid around $260. You could pay less depending on what your preferences are. They do have other graphic options that aren't listed on the site. You can call or email with specifics and will help you out.

Thanks for posting this up. I only live about 25 miles from Washington, MO. I wish there was someway I could buy that front bumper off of the vehicle, but I doubt they would let me do that! haha
I too thought about putting seat covers on, but was concerned about the heated seat function. Is that something you don't use? Do the covers interfere with it? I wanted to get Marathon Seat Covers, but they are more of a thick cordura nylon. I have them on truck without heated seats and love them. I was also concerned that the seat covers would rub and cause wear. First time having heated seats and loved having them for winter, don't want to give them up to put on covers.

I don't use the heater very much, but they won't interfere. It might take a little longer to feel the effect, but the covers also will naturally be warmer than the softex on colder days. These seat covers are made of wetsuit material. I have had them on almost every car I have had. No previous issues with rub/wear on the seats. Can't speak to other seat cover companies. Wet Okole asks specific questions as to what seats you have (ie. heated or not, electric, side airbags, etc.) and build them to your needs. They are great in my opinion.
If you don't want to name the dealer in the thread PM me and I can probably find out about the ones in WV depending what area they are in. As of a month ago when I bought mine there wasn't any in WV on a lot from what I found. Called the GM one of the largest Toyota dealers in WV and he said that they could order one but couldn't guarantee color.

Have been lurking this forum for a while now and finally placed a deposit on a Cement grey. Dealer said its due to arrive Mid July. Now the waiting game starts. I am not getting my hopes up as of yet since they have not cashed my deposit and the dealership is 500 miles away but atleast I have the vin # to stare at and hope. Just keeping my fingers crossed.

I've been lurking for a while, but this is my first post. Sorry if this has already been addressed, but i didn't have much luck in the search and 600+ pages is a lot to sort through.
My wife decided she wanted a cement TRDP. We went to the dealer in March and they got one allocated for us at the beginning of May. They got word that it is scheduled to be built on the 29th of this month. Hopefully we'll have it near the beginning of July?
She wanted the slide out cargo tray, all weather mats, and POSSIBLY the paint protectant film and door edge guards.
My dealer said the allocated vehicle doesn't have the slide out cargo tray, but has chrome exhaust tip, roof rails, and cargo cover. That's it, and we can live with that if we have to.
I guess my question is, what can be added or changed before the build date? My dealer has been amazing, but doesn't seem super knoweldgable about "special orders". Can we delete roof rails and exhaust tip? Can we add paint protect or door edge guards? I get the impression we can't add the cargo tray at this point, but isn't a big deal.
Not sure what's port installed and factory installed at this point.

Everything but the sliding cargo trade is a port installed option. Pass on the door edge guards if you can as they look horrible and every one I have actually seen is half coming off the door. You shouldn't be opening your doors into anything anyways.

When I ordered mine my dealer kept an eye on what they were adding at the factory and made the necessary changes before it was built, adding what I wanted and deleting what I didn't want. She said she just had to watch it closely once it was allocated and scheduled to be built and was able to make the adjustments.

My Pro just hit the dealer. I see where people have posted the dealer installed mandatory options. One of them is door guards. I'm skeptical of the cosmetics of this. Have yet to see a pic of a Pro with door side molding on. Anyone?
